Had Robles not hit Xiang twice, Xiang almost surely would have beat out Richardson convincingly. Therefore most people feel that Xiang deserves gold and Richardson deserves silver, which is unfortunately not how it played out.

So many things had been said about this outcome. I only want to say one thing with reference only to this interview. There is a big gap between Liu Xiang and Richarson on modesty. While Richardson defends so tightly his 'Gold' Liu Xiang is such a gentleman, not allowing the color of the medals gets into his humility and not running down anyone. That itself is gold.
