  • Go to the dollar store and get 3 little wire brushes for a buck. steel wool and a bit of oil for bigger jobs... Do not copy this guy...

  • Yes, electroplating is an effective method for rust removal. No, it is not practical for anything larger than a six inch piece of barbed wire.

  • When Done... Drink The Cola

  • wtf is this shit? stupid, just fucking stupid!

  • how can you tell the negative and positive when you just cut the ends of the power supply like in the vid?

  • I'm assuming 4 people tried to remove the object from the water while the battery was still on and connected...

  • Going to need a lot of power and coke for my truck lol

  • Hmmm didnt work butthole still not clean :(

  • KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!!

  • SHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • Mix the lemon juice with the baking soda and that by itself will remove rust with out the dangers.

  • there is an issue here, I dont think my mother in law would fit in a cup, and how much voltage should i use with her?

  • crud, lmao awesome

  • ARE U OUT OF YOUR F'ING MIND!!!! JUST TRY "RUST-MORT" AND YOU WILL LIVE TO SEE ANOTHER DAY AS THE RUST FADES AWAY. LOL! DUMB*SS!

  • it sounded so scientific and official until he said krud

  • KABOOOOM! AND THE STAIN IS GONE!!! - Billy Mays :P

  • Can I put my weener in the cup and put 120v direct current?

  • does anybody know how much baking soda i would need for 2 gallons of water?

  • i usesed 70 amps

  • I have simpler : Put it in a bucket of water for a week or two. Adding vinegar or any acidic dissolution makes it quicker to work. Even with only water, you will wipe the thickest of rust with a towel...

  • why bother witht he water and by-carb when the cola does the same thing?? no need for electrolysis

  • whats the baking soda to water ratio?

  • Why was there a TV advertisement narrator? Sounds fkn ridiculous. Bloody yanks!

  • Hey “cortieflash” there using VOLTS not AMPS. Volts are power, amps are current.

Direct current or (DC) is what is used in an electric chair. So relax.

  • So just need a pool of baking soda two or three batteries a street light and a second pool of cola...My car will be rust free!!!!

  • Look kids a fun way to electrocute yourself!

  • Will this work for stains on carbon steel knives?

  • @vjanda1 yes

  • @vjanda1 this is simple electrolysis.

  • i heard baking soda and oil work well were you use a toothbrush and put baking soda on it and rub it on the entire thing

  • Is there any way of removing Coca-Cola from rust ?

  • Oh sorry. I guess I forgot to read other posts first this time.

  • please excuse my ignorance but...what if you DO get the polarity reversed?

and what IF the 2 objects do make contact?

  • @ICUC007 Reverse Polarity - The rust from the (-) Polarized object will move to the object you want to remove the rust from. Basically reverse the process and add more rust to the rusty piece.

Contact - If the polarity objects make contact, it'll be like a short circuit on your power supply, if its protected, your fuse will blow. If not, you'll probably make the power outlet blow. Worst case scenario: Power goes off on your house or locals (yours included).

  • PFFT! You're gone!

  • Do you drink the Cola afterwards ? My house almost caught fire using electrolisis. Be careful !

  • works in plain water too. just takes longer

  • how do you get the polarity right?

  • @mv8030 doesn't matter if you get polarity wrong. just make sure the rusty bit is bubbling and not the anode. if you get it wrong no harm is done just swap it round

  • @rodneypullit if you get the polarity wrong the rusty bit will rust in fast foward. The nail here is sacrifitionnal and if you get the polarty wrong then your object gets eaten instead !

  • LOL at the end. "When done. Take it out" Well duh. wutta ganna do? leave it in there?

  • yup time to find a big tub of cola.

  • if you use a bigger tank of warm water does that mean you have to put more carbon dioxide or is it like a spoon of carbon dioxide per litre? great video though

  • will bushes and rubber gaskets take damage from this prosess?

  • i dont have a cup the size of my car :( lol

  • can i drink my cola after i finish using it to remove rust?

  • @madmkila1 Sure you can but I won't guarantee there won't be aftereffects. :)

  • Thanks for revealing the true intended use for Cola.

  • a thick layer of.....crud

  • Coca-Cola... Always! xD

  • Why not use steel wool? Quicker than using this method, though maybe not as effective

  • Obviously you have never drunk rust & cola before mmmBeautiful!!! Good for those who are anaemic to, full of iron you see. LOL Additionally, I am fully prepared to be electrocuted for 4inches of barbed wirethank you tornadocccp. LOL

Seriously it converts it so safe rust and should prolong its life a little more (I THINK) but its way safer if you use a car battery charger and a piece of stainless as the cathode. ;o)

  • yeah but sometimes rust gets in very tight places that is impossible to access with steel wool or a brush or something like you mentioned. And if you're painting an object, it is vital for all of the rust to be completely removed before painting it, since it'll start rusting again.

  • Congratulations!!! great explanation : clear to understand, easy to see, short in time and very efective in results!! thanks

  • fuck it im not gonna get my self shocked to death for a piece of fkn wire

  • I'll just buy a new piece of barbed wire thanks !

  • Looks like im gonna have to put my whole damn car in a pool for this one.

  • lmaoooo

  • don't forget to fill your pool with cola xD

  • lol. I hear ya. Maybe when my neighbors go away Ill drop a nail on a wire and my car in their pool and see what happens

  • @Yankee10021 don't forget to connect yuor dick to positive and nail to negative

  • @Willby2 ill split on it with ya... u get the pool, ill get a few 45 gallon drums of cola.

  • @Willby2

My thoughts were the very same and then I saw your posting.

    Dejavu.

  • @Willby2 you're also going to need a pool of soda/lemon juice/dilute HCl for the final step. haha

  • hi torrndocccp will iron give off chromium like ss because stainless steel can give you cancer when used as a + conductor and did you use bicarbonate of soda

  • made in china

  • is it safe to put electrical wire into water and on the switch?

  • No problem at this voltage! you can touch the live wire and not get a shock ;o)

  • i don't know :S

  • Thats a waste of cola! I'll just keep it black :)

  • when u say it works with batterys do u mean like aa batterys

  • i did this with one of my rusted rings and kept it black it looks kool

  • I can't fit my whole silage harvester into that glass!! ;(...olol

  • if u drink that cola u can die

  • wow its actually works well

  • what happens if u drink taht cola O .O

  • What happens if....you're a dipshit.

    Good video

  • lol aahahahahhahahahahha
