  • I've always loved this story - it's a shame we never got to see any more of the Dalek Supreme or learn more about the Supreme Council. Really hoping the Daleks return to Doctor Who soon.

  • @Zalmoxes123

Me too!!!!! If i remember correctly, Terry nation ended up with the prop afterwards. I cant remember where i read it, but this Dalek Supreme was very nearly going to be in Destiny of the Daleks i think. Might might have been the new book "The Man who invented The Daleks". Im not sure, but it would have been leading the Daleks mining operation instead of the dark grey Dalek.

  • Planet of the Daleks is more epic than any modern Dalek story!

  • @CYBERDOODY

Damn right. Better than the monstrosity known as The Stolen Eath/Journeys End.

Oh hell that story is BAD!

  • @OwenDWF Totally agree! All CGI and no story; even Davros and the Supreme Dalek couldn't save it from being self-indulgent rubbish

  • where do you get that supreme one i can only find paradigm one and stolen earth one!!!

  • @doctorwhofa2011

Its a [painted custom done by myself.

  • @OwenDWF cool

  • Did you paint the supreme dalek?

  • good vid

  • @ben10master100

Thankies XD im redoing this one next year.

  • your custom supreme dalek is brilliant 5*****

  • @OwenDWF That's the camera I have for my films XD

  • nice dalek surpreme

  • Hee Hee. Hello Jason. She had a thing in her days, yeah, but i was just having a little joke. Hah.

    Thanks for the comment Jason.

  • I know you was only having a little Joke , i was just messing around too . I wish People wouldint take me seriously all the time as if i dont understand Houmour .

  • so did i!! I knew you were having a joke. Hah!!!

What do you think of the molten ice scene?? I tried moving the camera and flashing torches to create the impression of the ground moving and electrical appliances fizzing out. Im not too hapy with the ice though. I recently found some green showergel in my bathroom which would have had alot more colour to it than the blue stuff.

  • It's done very well that bit . Sorry it takes a while for me to reply , my Computer been abit slow lately which is making my Computer a Bitch ! . Im off anyway , my Sisters been moaning at me about letting her have a go on the Computer . I'll be watching Top Grar ! vroommm vroommm , HA HA ! .

  • Very nice, Owen !! Liked it, and the liquid effect you used at ... 3:30 I think it was ... gave it a nice touch !!

I can't wait til Planet of The Daleks is released here in UK :D

  • Me too!!!!!!! I cant wait, although, The Dalek War boxset still hasnt been gievn a release month or date yet. Sod!!! I will find out in DWM though at some point. Thanks for the comment. I recently found some green showergel that would have worked much better, because it has a lot more colour in it than the blue.

    Thanks for the comment Ro!

  • nicly done owen did you make the scenery your self?

  • He he he he!!!

  • GREAT!

  • Well done Owen!

I'm adding this to the custom & remake group.

    5 stars!

  • this is really good work mate im very pleased with how this came out 5 stars

  • Nice one Owen. The shower gel was a spark of genious. It's a shame you could'nt animate any of the Daleks out in the wood really, but that zoom-in was eerie enough. How'd you rip audio from the VHS, then? Really good job.

  • Yeah. Trying to move The Daleks out in the woods was really diifficult. For started, they were not going to balance on the soft land i was filming on, so it was a no go from there on.

I brought my TV from my bedroom, down to the Computer Room, recorded the audi with a USB microphone with windows sound recorder, then cleaned the audio up in Sony Vegas, before coninuing usual editing in PowerDirector express. The smoke effect was made in Sony vegas too.

    Thanks for the comment mate!!

  • Yeah, worked really well that, Owen.

  • this is really great work ,owenDWF!

    5\5*****!

  • Cheers!!!!!!

  • owen, a magnificent piece of work man, brilliant, definatly 5 stars and a favorite of mine!

  • I have now placed this cool Dalek video in my Dr Who playlist,as it's so good to watch.

Thanks for the posting of it.

I will never tire of it.

  • Wow,that was pure excellence and joy to watch.

That was very cool, and very well done, despite the slight poor quality.

I hadn't really noticed the poor quality while watching.I just enjoyed every minute of it.

    Great work Owen.

  • The quality has boosted now mate. Just takes a while afetr is uploaded. Theres a HQ option, and the quality is better now anyway without it, but i still suggest HQ for a bit more bonus.

  • Excellent video, must have taken some time to make.

  • Yep. Took about a days work to do all of the filming, and then a days work for all of the editing.

The destruction of The Dalek base was the hardest to do. I really wanted it to look like he place was being destroyed, so flashing torches and nudging the camera made it look like electrical fuses and the place was shaking up a bit.

  • Good stuff, look forward to seeing more. Notice you even got the shot of the ice sliding down the window just like in the tv version.

  • This is Excellent. May I ask what type of paint you use?

  • Stiff from the Gmaes workshop. Theres info in the attached video about the paint, brushes and costs ETC

  • Great video mate!!

  • cheers!! sorry about the poop quality. Maybe a HD thing will pop up later. no idea why its in that quality though. I set it to a high quality when saving

  • WOW!! So Cool!!!

  • Thanks!!!!!!!!!! Have a look at the attached video for a closer look at the custom

  • I think so.
