  • Wow, a reasonable episode of what happened. Wholly inaccurate, but closer to the truth than anything so far.

  • oh gerbils!! LOL

  • Cyanide pills as chocolate?!?!?! Monsterous! Gobbles and his wife deserved to be put to death! Even that would be too merciful! Throw those two in a concentration camp and tell the Jews who they are. That would be justice! That or put them in a Russian prison camp that is also brutal. Though (in real life) the children were injected with morphine and then an fairly large amount of cyanide crushed in their mouths. Still mosterous though. Killing children is truly one of the worst crimes possible.

  • @ScotishChristian Too bad they committed suicide though. That allowed them to escape justice.

  • @ScotishChristian I just wish they were taken alive. Ah well. At least justice was brought down upon the other Nazi leader heads. (Mind some of them committed suicide.) (That and they blamed Hitler. Hypocrites.)

  • @ScotishChristian I don't think they escaped justice. That's where the Lord comes in.

  • @galoon Agreed.

  • @ScotishChristian Sorry about the spelling I meant Goebbles. Left out the e in my first comment.

  • Why is Eva in pain when she takes the poison? I thought it was quick and painless? Or was it the glass breaking that hurt?

  • Why did that guard open the door with his gun drawn? In case Hitler decided not to kill himself after all?

  • @Honkanen89 Maybe just maybe there was an assassin in the room? I duno..lol

  • "About 60yrs ago! Yellow Baloon, was the first movie I can remember ever seeing him!

He played quite a large part in this one to say it went international!"

  • Everybody loves to hate Hitler - even 66 years after his demise. There is hardly a year goes by that Hollywood doesn't pump out some anti Hitler movie of one kind or another and you begin to ask yourself why, when a whole generation has been born and grown old who had nothing to do with him, is he still being 'kept alive' by the media. Another question is: who really put up the money for WWII when Germany was utterly bankrupt after WWi.? Q3: Any connection?

  • @zthetha I think he is kept alive to be shown as an example of what truly evil men are capable of, to show that this is what can happen if the worst of us are in power things like the holocaust and bloody wars, and finally to show that we as a world society will fight so that somebody like this man if you could call him that never rises again.

  • @mak34237 That is exactly why. It's too remind us of the tragedy that happened, and to remind us never to let it happen ever again.

  • Everybody knows Hitler and Goebbels faked their deaths. Hitler took some of the money he was paid by the English Royal Family for being their secret agent, got some plastic surgery, changed his name to "Jimmy Buffet," and took up the guitar. Goebbels saved his money, opted out of the surgery, moved to Tribeca and took up directing a couple of young actors named Deniro and Keitel in several films. It'll all be on wikipedia soon after I'm done watching the last part of this movie....

  • Bruno Ganz' Hitler kick this Hitler ass

  • what to be sorry guys, they all now laughing in hell

  • pity there wasnt video phones back then ,,could have got great footage from the bunker..

  • hitlers remains were found by the russians, he had a gunshot wound in the head, his and evas corpses were buried and exhumed a number of times by the russians until finally laid to waste in a secret place wihout marker, too bad ,,we cant piss on his grave..

  • I thought Hitler only committed suicide by the pill and not by gunshot

  • @oeckstei Nah, It's speculated he did both. He bit down on the cyanide capsule and shot himself at the same time to ensure death.

  • Magda roasts in Hell.

  • I think the producers of "Der Untergang" were wise to not show the actual suicide - one of the few acts in the Bunker that had no living witnesses.

But of course it's not fair to judge a TV-film against a cinema film - Hopkins did a solid job although his acting is no match to the depiction of the Bruno Ganz-Hitler. Wonder what Sir Anthony though about Ganz' acting job?

  • @fenriz218 Yes you're right there are still questions involving the suicide, and if it even happen. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but there are historical questions. Most of this film is speculation, but it is the best you can do with a historical situation like this.

  • @NJburbsSeeker Nah. There ain't too many "historical" questions regarding Hitler's suicide. He blew his brains out. The End.

  • @NJburbsSeeker All I'm saying is people make mistakes. We don't have a clear picture of what happen, so that leaves room for doubt. Does it mean he survived, I don't think so, but I don't think we know everything about those final days.

  • this movie doe snot even mention Ritter von Greim samen nor Hanna Reitsch who flew to the bunker in the last days and talked with hitler, hitler even made Ritter von griem Generalfeldmarschall..

  • @wikingnederland nobody likes to talk about doe snot. not even buck snort.

  • I was not expecting to see Adolf's and Eva's bodies!
