  • RETURN THE VASE TO LADY KYCILLIA!

  • has anyone notice on youtube that many gundam vids are removed lately?

  • @duboman3 yeah it's retarded.

  • I wince every time a Dom dies, poor Doms :(

But I loved the scene when Guncannon owns Dom with its cannons.

And Cyan looks cool, too bad it died so quickly and that it didn't appear in the movies, because I only watched the movies

  • FINALLY. AMURO KILLS M'QUEEF!

  • @Hiei2k7 yup, ashame this fight isn't in the movie.

  • god i hate that as an MG model kit.

  • People love to say M'Quve sucks, but they often forget how badly Char gets beaten/runs away in the very next episode.

  • @NihilisticToast M'Quve is a pro. He throws everything in the book at him. Zeon mobile suits are just no match for the Gundams durability and power.

  • tiny balls loiz

  • Im not an anime fan. But this is awsome. I have 1-2 comics of this, really great stuff. Old school 4 life

  • @MrAlekssings Yeah Gundam in the shizzle. I don't like a whole lot either but the Scifi stuff is awesome.

  • hahaha YES I DID IT!!

  • m'quve

  • is it just me or anybody else getting awhole different meaning of char's helmet????

  • This is why UC is the best timeline

  • that's because it's filled with so many time gaps there are motion pictures, tv series, and everything to go with just to fill them in.

  • 2:38 he has the shield after it was destroyed

  • recycled footage

  • Amuro is so underappreciated.

  • right

  • Like samurai(amuro)vsKNIGHT(Ma Cbe)

  • Is that McQuarve? He's in Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2, he gets chopped in two and wants the vase to go to Lady Kycilia.

  • Compared? This IS the original series...

  • i know, its not the original because of the dubbing though. sure it may all look the same but i guess youd have to see the subtitled version to see the differences which there are a lot from watching this

  • Yes, the dubbing is evil all all dubs are. [sarcasm]

I HAVE seen the subtitled version, and it's alright. The only major plus I have regarding it is no Hillbilly Tri-Stars...

Also, if you're talking about differences in speech, I'm sorry but the translation is fairly faithful, but no two people can translate the same thing exact, hence the subs script being different.

  • This dub is actually pretty good, I happen to finish watching this at an anime site last month again and it had the same effect it did the first time I watched it. It kept me wanting to watch more!

  • Exactly. MSG was one of my favorite dubs, loved it! Char's voice was more spot on than the Japanese VA in my opinion.

  • I like the game Mobile Suit Gundam: One Year War's Interpretation of the battle. M'Quve fights Amuro without any help from Char, and the Red Comet fights Amuro after the Gyan is destroyed.

P.S:Mobile Suit Gundam:One Year War is a game released only in Japan for the PS2.

  • boo at the new sound effects

  • that dodging and parry by amuro in my opinon proves he was the best Gundam pilot of all time. I haven't seen any dodge thrust strikes like that in any gundam series.

  • Play Dynasty warriors gundam 2 and play as m'quve. You have to protect his VASE while fighting hordes of m.s.

  • the last thing m'queve sead was about his damn vase

  • its the only thing he loved

  • 0:29 OOOMMMGGGG!!!!!! watch out Gundam dude!!!!!!!!! aaaaaaaaaaah!

  • yup thats the power of the first gundam.

i am going to kill you i mean hug you said the gundam.

  • Great series still my favorite gundam show. I gotta see the last few episodes that toonami didn't show.

  • And that's the reason why all the fed's MS i.e. GMs all have 2 beam sabres. Too bad none of them put them into good use like when the Gundam defeated the Gyan

  • they only have one saber

  • the GMs or at least most of them only had one beam saber. The Earth Federation had to make them as cheap as they could, so only one saber per mobile suit. Besides if they mass produced the GM with all the systems like the super computer and the core-block system would have bankrupt the Earth Federation

  • Agreed, The Federation preferred the RX-78 mobile suit because it was more versatile than the GM. But it's like the German in WWII, the high command would make Tiger and Panther tanks than improve the Panzer Mk. 4 tanks and lost the war. So the Federation decided numbers count as long as the Zeons don't make a better mobile suit that they can produce in large numbers in a very short time. Because the GM has proven to effective against the Zaku models. RX79 wasn't the production solution.

  • The Gundams have always been high end experimental models. Often what they test and prove on the Gundams gets introduced into the GMs.

  • M'quve was supposed to say That vase is priceless! stupid dub xD Why would they take such an important battle out of the movie trilogy...

  • That would be scary as hell, going into an enemy colony, alone!

  • That is what happens to cheaters

  • he Was speaking of the random hamster

  • 1:30...the fuck?...random.

  • amuro's hugs kill people?

  • amuro is not scared of pussyball

  • lol these little balls wont hurt me

  • instead of saying little he said tiny. ha

  • This episode actually WAS showed before they decided to cancel the series prematurely due to 9-11. It was on unannounced instead of a second episode of DB on around 9-13 or 14 2001.

  • "Stop Fighting You've Already Won"

  • Well, having seen this fight now, I can clearly see why Tomino cut it from the movies. Replacing M'quve with Char allows for increased development in Char and Amuro's characters, their rivalry, and a more streamlined narrative.

Not to mention the Amuro/Char battle that replaces this is more intense. :P

  • "He's escaping into Texas?"

I love how the English dubs have to narrate the action of the story too. LOL.

  • hmm maybe for oil and resources

  • m'quve sounds so freaking gay. like homosexual gay. really

  • I like the the Gyan, but I hate the pilot M'Quve.

  • The Gyan got shafted in DW:G 2..I mean, it's a unique one-of-a-kind MS, yet they made it a class 3 MS.

  • It's not unique. The Gyan was a production type that M'quve had designed as a competitor to the Gelgoog. More than one prototype was made, but the project itself was cancelled; you can see in this video which of the two suits won out. Bottom line: Gyan isn't that great, and there's a reson Char was outfitted with a custom Gelgoog. (I adore that thing's performance in DW:G 2.)

  • I have to admit, the Gyan is a rather..mediocre suit.

Still kind of annoyed at the fact they made Johnny's Gelgoog playable, yet Johnny himself isn't playable.

  • It also kinda miffs me that nothing from 0080 or 0083 turned up in that game. As for Johnny's Gelgoog, it's just a custom paint job rather than a real variation like Char's. Some people like the blue.

  • The MS-14B Gelgoog High Mobility Type says for you to shut you're whore mouth.

    Custom paint job my ass...

But yeah, I was also suprised that nothing from sidestories got into DWG2.

Oh, and the Gyan isn't *that* bad, it just looks like crap because it's trying to take on Amuro freaking Ray in the Gundam.

Probably wasn't smart of M'Quve though to try and kill a close combat optimized suit in a sword fight.

Also: 5 SECONDS OF KAI BEING AWESOME! HOORAY!

  • Yeah, forgot about that little detail...

And I would figure the Gyan would fair better in close combat, since it's lacking in effective ranged weapons. M'quve was correct in utilizing Char suddenly showing up to force Amuro to drain his beam rifle, and he did give Amuro quite a struggle. The difference is here isn't the mobile suit--M'quve was very good with his--it's the pilot, and going up against a Newtype is never an easy task, unless you're a Newtype.

  • Apparently, to give him a crappy rushed death in Char's Deleted Affair.

  • Kai gets a pretty badass couple seconds here, holy crap.

  • Brad Swaile voices

Amuro(from the original, Zeta, and Char's Counter Attack),

Quatre (from Wing and Endless Waltz), and even Setsuna (from 00) (even though you really can't tell its him voicing, you only really hear him when Setsuna is talking loud) .

  • Don't forget Dearka from Seed >.> lol

  • Same actor.

  • The main charater hair style looks funny

  • My TV series VCD also had removed the Gyan. It only had the red robot fighting with Gundam

  • I prefer the uncut Japanese audio.

    Excellent episode though. :D

  • It wasnt on purpose, I believe something happened to the mirrors on the colony so they couldnt control the weather?

  • was this before or after solomon?

  • lul

  • "He's escaping into Texas?!"

Does that make him an illegal immigrant?

  • XD EPIC WIN!!!

  • One of the great fights in the series.

  • sound effect is good!!

  • This episode is so awesome.

  • and this is a really sweet episode too

  • My top five favorite Jion mobile suits are: 1. Gelgoog Jager, 2. Gelgoog, 3. Gyan, 4. Kampfer, and 5. Zaku II R2 High Mobility Type (or something like that)

The Gyan is pretty incredible!!!! You just got to love those amazing close combat abilities!!!!!

  • omg love the sound of the gyans saber going by at 4:33 to 4:38

  • 70s.

  • the secret to using gyan is through the shield ;D good players figured out to use that shield of his. it can tank a shit load

  • I loved using the Gyan One of my favorite Zeon mobile suits ^^

  • Yeah... im dying and imma think about a vase.

  • It^S Very Valliable! BOOM

  • why was it removed? what did they do instead?

  • ItS Very Valliable!

  • I wholeheartedly agree with you. If the original Gundam series came out here before Wing, a lot more people would watch it. The show's message about war resonates today as it did in 1979.

  • ビームライフルとサーベルの音が違うのね。

  • I find it kind of funny how Gundam Seed tries so hard to be like 0079 and just adds a few new things like friends on the enemy side. Kira Yamato will never be an Amaro Ray :[

  • I agree. Amuro, as whiny as he can be sometimes, is NOWHERE near the crybaby level as Kira!

  • I really wish people would have given this show a chance back in 2001. It was pure greatness, sure the animation was from 1979 (and that was one cause of it being cancelled), but I always look at the story and characters.

0079 will always be my favorite Gundam series.

  • Yes, I agree with you. I still prefer the Universal Century storyline to any of the alternate universe storylines (Wing and Seed included). The jury's still out on 00 but so far it's looking good.

  • Animation is pretty good for 1979...

  • Sadly, Gundam 0079 lost its window of opportunity for a noticeable role in American pop culture after about 1986. Though if it came to the U.S. at that time we would have been treated to a heavily-edited version along the lines of what happened to Macross(became Robotech) and Mazinger (became Tranzor).

  • Good Fight. I prefer M'Quve's voice actor in Mobile Suit Gundam Vs Zeta Gundam.

He sounds very aristocratic. Which I think matches his habit of collecting vases.

  • "It's very valuable!!"*Boom*

  • The more and more I watch this, the goofier it becomes. 08th MS team was a lot more realistic about Gundams than the original story. All those miniature nuclear bombs should've blown a hole big enough to vent the colony.

  • On 4:20 nice beam sabers huh...BTW nice battle..

  • It's pretty impossible to compare the suits from different continuities.

  • especially since the technology is different in almost each one, Wing's was plasma I remember, which was weaker than minovsky particles, which is weaker than GN particles. Then again GN particles are almost an unknown factor as opposed to Seed's almost realistic technology(positrons, neutrons, etc.)

  • UC makes more sense... in the standard Zaku 2 there is a thermonuclear engine in it. in Seed wtf a battery powered suit that can last a battle for a mere 5 minutes cmon now =|

  • and what an awesome 5 minutes those are

  • 5 min. of super epic fail. Seed had way too much Gundams..That's not cool unless it's G Gundam.

  • That sounds more like Evangelion. If i remember correctly Seed had nuclear powered as well. Then again i could be wrong =/

  • actually remember when strike was battling those cat like mobile suits iono too much about seed cus i've forgotten. but he had to drop all of his equips so he can have energy to continue fighting. they had N jammers not too sure on em either lol. but the UC runs off minovsky particles turned into nuclear

  • aaahhh true true. I remember that now. No wonder ive always been a fan of the UC Gundam series then the newer ones. But yea thanks for reminding me lol

  • it uses a fuck load of double A batteries lol.

  • you mean 9 volts? =O

  • this shit is rad, i wish there was more gundam shit with out gay ass likin park or some gay ass music over it. good shit.

  • Char's English dub is so obviously the same a Treize's from Gundam Wing. But the fight scenes in this episode were kick-ass. The Guncannon attacks were a surprise to me.

  • David Kaye voices Trieze, most known as Sesshomaru(IY) & Megatron(Beast Wars).

    Michael Kopsa voices Char Aznable.

  • Oh, really? I'm not being sarcastic, I actually am surprised that the voice actor for Treize also does Sesshomaru and Megatron. I like Megatron's English voice much better than the Japanese dub; the Japanese voice just doesn't suit him.

  • 4:50

    Owned.

  • Seriously. The music in this show is so bitchin. Its pure funk

  • at 2:38, u can clearly see gundam still carrying its red shield, which he threw it away a few seconds ago

  • I wish they redid this with 08th ms team or stardust visuals...

  • I think M'Quve has his priorities a bit mixed up at 6:09

  • His tricks weren't any match for Gundam's immense power :(

  • it's more like Amuro Ray's advanced piloting

  • I miss this show, it sucks that CN didn't show all the episodes.

  • captin M'Quve sucks at pilotin mobilesuits he should have stuck to kissin kycilia's ass he might have lived till the last episode

  • 2:18, Gundam's evasion is so funny wahahaha!

  • XD! Paper Shield wahahaha!

  • did anyone see that, he threw the sheid away but had it for a second in the colony, funny

    2:38

  • ya lol

  • did anybody else notice that the animation of the second half of the series is vastly superior?

  • 2:39 you can see rx-79 sheld but he threw it away

  • "Is it Char?" When you see a red mobile suit of course it is.

  • Unless its Johnny Ridden.

  • "you can't beat Gundam from your ivory tower." Awesome.

  • "Looks like a red Mobile Suit"

    No Amuro its pink

  • turn a is black, indian black, same thing. But the interesting part is that, Turn A gundam's pilot is a guy?

  • Is the black chick the same one from Turn A gundam?

  • That would be impossible since Turn A has nothing to do with 0079 besides some mobile suits like the Zaku. Lalah Sune isn't black, shes from India.

As for Turn A Gundam are you talking about Laura? Because thats actually a guy, the main character Loran. He isn't considered black.

  • What about Ryu or Mc'Queve?

  • this comes in english?

  • DVD, man.

  • Holy shit that was one hell of a nuke :O

  • M'Qube might have been dead by himself in Manga ver("The Origin":in japanese).

  • QUALITY!

  • I miss the good old days when this would be on in the afternoon.

  • I liked the classic kits they made on the series, they rock!

  • "looks like a red mobile suit"

    no shit amuro.

  • you got that right oh well no show ever ends without at least one idiotic statement

  • lol

    That made my day

  • "Uragan! Deliver t antique vase to Lady Kycilla... It's very valuble!"

Haha, M'Quve was the man. My favorite character in the original story.

  • I really didn't like whoever's decision (I guess it was Sunrise Japan?) to put in different sound effects. I liked the old Gundam sound effects.

  • man, the english voice dubs are so baaaad

  • and they replaced the origional sound effects with these shitty ones, do you know what I'm talking about. They used to have so many cool sounds that have been dubbed over with crappy ones, its sad.

  • At least they are similar to the original unlike the new Japanese track for the movies where they sound anything like the original.

I really don't think the sound effects & voices sound bad. Because they couldn't get the Japanese voice track at the time they might not have been able to get the sound effects track ethier, only the music track.

From what I understand Tomino helped cast or approve the VA's. I thought it was casted great, Giren is even voiced by a Japanese native.

  • but you do know what I'm talking about with the sound effects right, I wasn't talking about the voices, because I thought they were good, but the sound effects just killed it.

  • tienes razon

  • honestly the real feel of gundam disappears

with some of the newer sounds

  • Thank you for posting this!

I haven't seen First Gundam in a good while.

  • Gelgoog's rock.

  • Watch the clip again, Char tried to help but M'Queve was arrogant & wanted to fight/beat the Gundam himself.

  • where did u get this vid from??

  • The very first Mobile Suit Gundam from 1979. If you mean where I got the video from, well I tried to get it off my DVDs but I couldn't get the sound in sync so I just gave up & downloaded a DVD rip on torrent then edited it.

  • hey the guy in the gundam talks almost like lan hikari from megaman nt warrior.

  • Does anyone know why the Gyan was cut from the moie trilogy? As far as old anime goes, this is one of the better Gundam fight scenes I've seen. Why throw that out?

  • amen to that my friend squinkle 2 is a mquve freak
