Duvall is in no way qualified to front this band. Look, maybe...MAYBE if Duvall has a few months of studio time, he can hit all the notes in the songs correctly. But, Layne could sing LIVE even while loaded or full of heroin. Don't believe me? Search for the vid for "What the Hell Have I", the live one.

Duvall can not sing live. His voice sucks. And what makes this even worse, is that he is jumping around on stage and dancing like a fucking nSync queer. This isn't pop music, it's metal

I bought the Box set of aic tunes (5cds inside)and they had a booklet saying all the songs and who wrote them, and Jerry wrote alot more then Layne...All music was written by jerry and sometimes the guys helped him, but Jerry and Layne shared the duties with the lyrics thought Jerry wrote more..the only album Layne wrote more on was the "Tripod" also know as the self tittled album so think before you speek

Jerry Cantrell wrote 90% of everything AIC did anyway, and even told Layne how to phrase most of his vocal parts anyway. Jerry made AIC, not Layne.

As much as Layne did make the band, he really didn't write much of it's content, im sure he had some input, but it wasn't really him doing the writing, Cantrell prbably had much more say in it then Layne, ie. Rooster, about Cantrell's dad in vietnam. I think it's cool that they have bands tributing Layne, it really shows how many people have been influenced by Alice in Chains.
