I didn't hear anything in this video suggesting God cares who wins the game. What I heard was a young person who understands that in volleyball, and in life, it is important to give God the glory for our success and to ask Him to be with us during our trials. Rachel never indicated that she, or the team prayed, "God, help us win this match", only that He be with them.
It's a bit arrogant to think that God cares whether or not you win a volleyball game. Having said that, whatever makes you BELIEVE that you have an extra edge over the competition, is a tool that shouldn't go unused. It's analogous to how a placebo can sometimes cure an illness.
