  • He's so gay looking, they should address her as "Your Fabulousness", rather

    than ''Your Excellency".

Why are are Roman Catholic Clergy so feminine looking and acting?

  • Except for Pope Betty himself, does anyone know a more obviously homosexual bishop than Chaput? He's also the most hateful homophobe in American except for Fred Phelps. Sorry Chaput, you always come in number two, you flaming Catholic queer.

  • @mrsapaiva: This is an extreme expression of Augustinian theology. The idea of Limbo is a theolgical constuct that "saves' the necessity of baptism. You may not be awate that the terms is not longer vbeing used. In any case. each child is innocent of actual sin before the age of reason, age seven is the usual age. However, as we know, some children are very precocious and might be culpable at a much younger age. A child in the womb is literally incapable to committing a sin.

  • @mdelcamp1: According to Catholic theology, no human life whatsoever is innocent. Have you ever heard of the doctrine of original sin, which holds that every baby is guilty of Adam and Eve's sin in the garden of Eden from the moment of that child's conception. And, should that child die (for any reason) before they are baptized, they will wind up in a state of "Limbo" which is between Heaven and Hell.

BTW, where is the MEANINGFUL financial assistance to parents who have special needs children?

  • visualize a functioning government. i was a sarah palin appointee here in ak prior to her abdication. she spent more time being petty and vindictive than being any sort of administrator.

i think ms sarah is a pawn of the military-industrial complex about which eisenhower (republican) warned us.

  • Religious Prolifers?

    -Adopt unwanted future kids

-Cant force them to be a parent

    -More Welfare Taxes

    -Human Overpopulation

-Not conscious or developed yet so no suffering

    -Bank on birth control evolution

ALL live children+mammals suffering should be the focus, I helped serving in Peace Corps. Go Vegan 4 our health, environment, Billions Animals Abused in Factory Farms (look up videos) + reduce World Hunger! Animals eat most of our grain+corn. U can save 1000's of lives go veg

  • @CannibalsEatAnimals

"Not conscious or developed yet so no suffering" Have you seen the movie "Silent Scream"? It shows a fetus struggling against the suction used to rip it from the womb. You will not ever convince me that developing human being did not know it was in danger. I support abortion as a nessecary evil, but the idea that the fetus feels nothing is BS as far as I am concerned.

  • people people im here to save the unborn once they are out of the womb they can go f*** themselves

  • As a man I urge everyone esp. other men to support pro-choice. Stop the oppression of women! One thing is for sure...... if men could have unplanned pregnancies - the church would make abortion a sacrament!

  • @wjl1970 Jesus Christ him self established all 7 sacraments. Abortion is an act of selfishness. Abortion in fact oppresses wemen . As a man I am pro coise, and I allways will chose life, that's my choise. So you see everybody is pro choise.

  • yeap she kept that baby "she kept that baby" is nice to have a choice no??

  • Funny. People call it "pro-choice" and "pro-life".

Guess "anti-choice" sounds bad, doesn't it?

  • @Maeror2010 Lol, exactly. That's what it is: Pro-life aka Anti-choice!

  • @Ojokernegro all humans are pro choise. when the radical femenist movement hijacks the language and calls pro death of an inocent human baby, pro choice well that sounds compasionate. The truth is an inocent baby pays with it'slife for the CHOISES a couple of moronic, childish, grown ups make. It's selfishness that keeps people like that from following through with their responsabillities.

  • The lack of human dignity is not seeing the incredible beauty and love that comes from accepting the perfect gifts that God gives us.

  • The lack of human dignity is giving birth to these children that in many cases can't live independent lives and cannot have children of their own. I've seen these down syndrome children that live with their parents till they die then are handed off to the state to care for and I know there is a large variance in how bad the syndrome is, but I don't see any dignity in this. For a religion that screams for abstinence and decries out of wedlock children, what amazing hypocrisy and compromise.

  • @UrinationNation indeed. Every one of those people are pro-life but when children don't grow up as expected (to become successful and happy people with morals) everyone takes a step back and points a finger.

  • Palin´s daughter got pregnant "out of bad luck" ?? Did I understand that right just now?

How the fuck do you become pregnant because of bad luck? I would say the absence of knowledge about birth control is a much more likely cause.

  • "Pregnant out of wed-lock" But yeah, absense of knowlege about birth control seems to fit it still.

  • it is not up to the government to dictate morality.

  • So will the hypocritical catholic church help these families who are in difficult circumstances?

No! They sit back smirking thinking about how they've contributed to the breakdown of society.

    Arse holes!

  • You're right! There's no such thing as "Catholic Charities." They just list it in the phone book to fool people. Actually, there's no such things as Catholic hospitals, Catholic orphanages, Catholic homes for the disabled, Catholic Family Services (that's another one they list in the phone book just to fool people). Yeah. The Catholic Church doesn't do anything to help people with problems, poverty, etc. Oh, and there's no such things as Catholic schools in the inner cities, either.

  • They helped my family so I can say you're wrong.

  • You're right! I've been working for years for the repeal of all laws against bank robbery, embezzlement, fraud, etc., because these laws are attempts by the government to dictate morality. The "seventh commandment" is "Thou shalt not steal." The government has no business trying to impose this "commandment" on all of us.

  • @bobparis Hey Thou shall not murder is a religous commandment. Lets work hard to ban all laws against murder. We would not want to force any evil, superstious beliefs on anyone.

  • @adamproskiw "t is not up to the government to dictate morality."

Well then, the government shouldn't legislate. All laws legislate morality to some degree. The illegality of rape and slavery are based on moral views that have been legislated into action. The pro-choice position is actually a moral position. The government does dictate morality on slavery and rape and child abuse, and if abortion is killing an innocent child, it should legislate on that, too.

  • there are much worse things than death and i would never presume to design one overall policy that will apply to every single situation. It is clearly the right of the woman as we are talking about an extension of her own body, not a unique, self-sustaining "life" as some mistakenly believe.

  • Isn't it peculiar that "a part of a woman's body" can have male chromosomes instead of female chromosomes? That's really weird! Imagine that, it's a part of a woman's body, but it's male, instead of female? Weird, weird, weird.

Pro-abortion ideology is so much weirder than scientific fact.

  • whats weird is how some people are so self-rightous that they think they have all the answers for everyone. it truly takes a special combination of stupidity and vanity. like those people who thank god for this and that, as though the master plan for the universe was altered just for them. get over yourself, you are a fool who does not even know he is a fool and are the reason for all suffering in this world.

  • What brought you to this decision? What has caused you to think this way?

  • Variablast, you are truly confused.

  • Most people who are pro-life would disagree, and claim that a fetus is a human being with rights. After all, a fetus is human (at least if we judge by the number of chromosomes) and has unique DNA which is different from its mothers. Therefore, it is a unique human. So the question becomes at what point does it gain rights?

  • Consider this: Suppose that a fetus is a human being and has rights. If such is the case, than to have an abortion is to commit murder.

Assuming that a fetus is a human being, a woman being raped and becoming pregnant is similar to if someone broke into your house, beat you unconscious, then left a kid (perhaps with down syndrome) behind. Would it be justifiable to turn that kid out and let him or her starve simply because you didn't want the kid and it's not your fault?

  • We need to promote alternatives to abortion, like blowjobs and anal sex! These constitute preventative measures toward pregnancy. Whose with me?!

  • Why do Catholics never ask why their church never excommunicated all the German Catholics who directed the Jewish Holocaust, i.e. Adolf Hitler, Heinrich Himmler, Josef Goebbels, Reinhard Heydrich, Rudolf Hoess, Julius Streicher, Fritz Thyssen, Klaus Barbie, and Franz Von Papen were all well-known Roman Catholics as were

all of these heads of other Nazi states: Degrelle of Belgium, Pavelic of Croatia. Laval & Petain of Vichy-France, Fr. Josef Tiso of Slovakia? Google "NaziLeadership" for MORE!

  • I did but I didn't see which page you're referring to. Google just treated it as 2 separate words. What else should be included in the search box?

  • Thanks for asking, BoB, i.e. "Google just treated NaziLeadership as 2 separate words. What else should be included in the search box?"

I don't know if Google made a change recently, but putting "NaziLeadership" in quotes seems to work right. Then, just check out the top site it refers you to.

  • Sarah doesent mind going to War for God without blinking over the facts, despite the pregnant womens fetuses and their children which are Blown to bits as unfortunate " Civilian Casualties " or merely maimed and mutilated ..The important thing is that American girls raped by their Fathers dont have an abortion :)

  • pro life conserv. care about conception to 9 months after that they dont give a fuck about you. no neonadal ,day care, preschool , head start, food stamps, wealfare. pre born fine pre school your fucked. and life is sacred who said that god? read history god is the leading cause of heath all religions killing eachother bc god said it was a good idea. LIfe is nothing that is amazing . we made it up to make ourselves feel better. abortion is bad why ? we make the who fucking thing up!

  • Archbishop Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. is a great manof God. He loves this country and Christ's Church. Plus the fact that he is a Capuchin Franciscan makes him even better!

  • abortion is important but there are more important things than abortion, and thats why Obama should be elected. When it comes to "human dignity" rightism is a slap in the face.

  • The German People had the same attitude towards the Jewish question when they elected Hitler. Abortion is a human right, the right of a living human being to live.

  • i think so too, but in some cases you have to weigh one against the other. i mean a 5 year old child starving to death is not the same as a fetus aborted. if you had to choose i think the right thing to do is feed the child over stopping the abortion... it makes no sense to save a planted seed when the plant is dying. you have to water the plants first and then worry about the seeds..

  • Don't you understand that an abortion would be destroying a part of her. Why do people just see a "fetus" as the product of the man?

  • PALIN while governor, staunchly advocated abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in her state's

school system meanwhile her unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, because she believes every sperm must have a name.

And theres PALINs own mystical pregnancy, which no one else but Palin can attest to.

The whole flying back to Alaska, it plays out like the plot from Desperate HouseWives Where that mother

faked her pregnancy to cover up her teens pregnancy.

  • What does the abstinence only stand have to do with Gov. Palin's pregnant daughter? If she felt that pregnancy was something to be so greatly feared she may have suggested birth control. Instead she is acting responsibly and her daughter as well and they will rejoice in the new family member. How can you fault her for that? Gov. Palin's life is interesting. There is a book out this month about how she dealt with the 3 big oil companies in Alaska to negotiate for the benefit of Alaskans.

  • God Bless Bishop Chaput for his courage to speak out on ABORTION/MURDER...And Sarah Palin is a hero also. She will be blessed by God.Save this nation from Nobam and vote McCain/Palin 08

  • Archbishop Chaput should shut his God-damn mouth and stick to talking about the alter boy scandels.

  • It would be one thing if these Cathloics were against the war and pro-life, at least then I would respect them for being consistent. I would think they were 'tards either way, but at least they'd be being consistent.

But it's like, if you're in the womb, you deserve every chance at life you can get, but once you're out, you're fair game for our guns missiles and bombs.

  • The Catholic Church certainly was against the Iraq War.

Pope John Paul II has been the most consistent defender of peace and human rights in recent times.

"When war, as in these days in Iraq, threatens the fate of humanity, it is ever more urgent to proclaim, with a strong and decisive voice, that only peace is the road to follow to construct a more just and united society...Violence and arms can never resolve the problems of man." Pope John Paul II

Check your facts my friend. God bless!

  • Pope Benedict opposed the US invasion of Iraq.

  • Absolutely WONDERFUL ARCHBISHOP CHAPUT !

    EXCELLENT !! BRAVO !!

  • If you look at Ms Palin's pro-life lobby and her views on (lack of) sex education, it means that if she has her way there will be a lot more Americans around to redress the balance of rocketing muslim births. She's obviously got her head screwed on and is wiser than we think!

  • really? Is that why she's against stem cell research that could save hundreds of millions of lives by curing diseases such as cancer and diabetes? Is that why she thinks young adults shouldn't be taught sex education to learn about the risks and about protecting themselves from sexually transmitted diseases? So she doesn't want women to have the right to choose... and also cuts programs and help for single/teenage mothers...

You're right IceneBoudicca, she's clearly very wise.

  • min9898 - so you didn't detect a hint of irony in my comment, ie the only good thing about her views is that if taken up by Americans she, singlehandedly, will be responsible for increasing the birthrate and thus producing more Americans to stop the muslims over-populating the world.

  • considering this video expresses a view in support of Palin, and the fact that the people on youtube who support her really do say things as strange and retarded as that, I suppose I assumed that you were being serious as well.

  • The countries with the lowest incidences of abortion are those with a lot of education, available contraceptives, and safe legal abortions.

The countries with the highest infant and mother death are those with illegal abortions.

Legalizing abortion reduces the amount of abortions. Criminalizing abortions does not reduce the amount of abortions.

    Look it up. It's true.

  • What does this man of God say about mass killings by war? How much loved are the people that he does NOT look in the eye? People like him are capable of blessing armies and war machines.

  • If these religious people have so much faith, why do they have to pay enormous sums of money for buildings and a priesthood to reinforce that faith.

  • ??????

  • ?????!!!!!!!!!

  • It's like having a big dick. If you have one, you don't have to talk about it because you don't need to, but if you don't, then you tell everyone about it.

  • It's like what George Carlin says about God. He always needs MONEY. He's all-powerful, eternal, perfect, all-knowing and the creator of the universe, but he's not good with a buck.

  • Martin Luther said the Church was the biggest thief that ever existed and ever will.

  • Lol not giving birth to a child you know will almost certainly be mentally and physically crippled is an affront to human dignity? Wut?

  • This is how contradictory the CHURCH is, fuckin morons they are. My sister in law was pregnant out of wed lock and the CHURCH would NOT marry them. So if they are true catholics do they just burn in hell? Get an abortion and get married in a CHURCH but still burn in hell cos they had an abortion. The catholic church is a fucking joke just all religions are. By the way the got married out of church and none of our family will ever step foot in one again.

  • You have jumped to a faulty conclusion. The reason the Church would not marry them was not so they would burn in Hell or b/c they were not worthy of being married in the Church. Catholic matrimony is a sacrament. It is not valid if there is any pressure to get married "b/c of pregnancy". The couple cannot consent freely. There is social pressure, parental pressure etc. The sacrament of matrimony is for life so it MUST be FREELY chosen without coercion or pressure of any kind.

  • thats weird because i have a friend who had her baby out of wedlock, then had the baby baptized (without a husband) and then later married by the Church...

  • I think before we jump to the conclusion that Sarah Palin is holy. Let's see the birth certificate from the hospital she claims she delivered at? What about the shotgun wedding of her daughter to that hockey player? What about firing people, then hiring people from your cult?

  • There Needed To Have A stupid Cunt With Him

  • I don't think that Archbishop Chauput needs to worry about a lack of "opportunities to love in difficult circumstancs." I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that as long as there is existence, there will be difficult circumstances a-plenty.

  • Do we know for sure, is their independent verification, that Palin knew Trig would be a Down Syndrome baby? Maybe she never had the amniocentesis done.

Isn't it the case that the McCain campaign has not released her medical records? Why not?

  • Since when has a male candidate had to release information on his reproductive history?

  • This is pitiful vindictive stuff. We can make up many stories with that approach about anyone.

  • Dumb!!

  • What a cunt.

  • Why is Cardinal Law, formerly Catholic Church potentate of Boston, still a respected leader of the Catholic Church, running a Vatican City Church, for God's sake? He should have at least been busted down to a regular parish priest, in my own personal opinion. Him and the whole raft of them, the Irish Catholic Clergy leaders in Boston and Bishop McCormack here in Manchester, New Hampshire, too.

  • Buck Private Law, that would be funny. It is clearly audacious and shocking for the Catholics to openly practice the outdated and politically incorrect doctrine of forgiveness.

  • As a Roman Catholic myself, 25 percent of the American Electorate voting in the next United States President, I have decided that the religious advisory to "forgive" does not apply towards either corporations or governments. When either a company or a leader crosses any boundary, we Catholics do not forgive, or forget. Protecting human life is such a boundary; especially innocent, unborn human life. All human life is ultimately innocent in character, and therefore unassailable. That's Catholic.

  • The catholic bishops basically speak for the Vatican. That's the ultimate problem. If you're looking for a villain, you've got one in Joseph Ratzinger.

  • Actually it's in the 10 commandments, where God says, thou shalt not kill.
