I recall lying in something that sound have been a trench on a field exercise staring into darkness for hours at a time and then getting all of 3 hours or less of non REM sleep. I was spared the 14 weeks mind at my basic level. Pull up a sandbag :) If you *are* special forces (glancing at your nick) I take my hat off.

@SherlockHolmes221B78 Its a UK Combat Fitness Test, its about 12 miles that's all, 30lb sand weight, kit water,and weapon, pisspot included, banging on your head, but it can end up far longer and its not just running either, the word fucked doesnt even come close, but it got easier the more we did it. Christ by the time ide finished all that crap it was like running on springs lol as for special m8, i would think anyone who wants to do all that needs to be special in the head lol

@SherlockHolmes221B78 we dug our trenches and we mainly lay in shell scrapes, and wouldn't sleep all night on exercise, they would wake you up all hours, throwing flash bangs at us, they would take turns pissing us off. When its -7, no water as its all frozen solid, your exhausted and freezing with no arctic gear and staging on waiting for shit to happen all fkn night, then bugging out and running 8 miles while getting beasted before you could get back to kip again for an hour. great fun lol
