anything with the word rainbow in it sounds gay. no matter how you put it. rainbow warriors, rainbow heroes, rainbow fighter, trooper, crew, gang, team. i hate this english-indo gap. the poetic feel to "laskar pelangi" is translated into something misleadingly funny.

but kudos to that "immortal" verse. fantastic work.

Don't forget that symbols differ in every country, and that CULTURALLY, the rainbow has a different significance and a different meaning, which is not associated with gay culture at all.

The word 'rainbow' here should be translated literally in order to preserve the flavor of the original. Changing it to accomodate our cultural standards would be a violation of the original.

The western viewer should just learn to step out of his shoes every once in a while and broaden their minds.
