  • your an animal!! hell ya!!

  • Dario please give your honest opinion what lift is more effective and gives more result purely for throwing high pulls or powercleans

  • @thebigtortuga just giving my 2 cents, its good to work on your deadlift, but dont limit your self to just deadlifts because they will only helpyour powerclean slightly, work on your shoulders and trap muscles, do shrugs, bent over rows, and upright rows, but really the best way to improve your power clean is to just powerclean and keep doing them, around when i first started i was maxing about 180 and in a month my clean jumped to 215

  • how would you say, for someone who only has a power clean max around 170 or 180, to improve their clean? do you think just practicing the movement and trying to up my deadlift would be the best way?

  • do you always train to failure

  • @wheezdajuice lol...he's the type of guy you say, "can I take him...I dunno...but I want him on my side!"

  • When you do yournormal workout I was just wondering what weight you use and how many sets and reps

  • Do you plan on dedicating yourself to any other sports in the future? Such as MMA or Strongman? You are just such a phenomenal athlete!!

  • Once youu snap Youur wrist youur suppose to drop and squat it

  • @xXiinterVentionz not if you can do it without having to take that step.

  • @wheezdajuice if you know nething about wrestling then u know its about technique mostly as gsp would say and not strength although strength will help out but still kudos man lots of power there both pure explosive n endurance

  • A new life goal of mine. You did a amazing job at pushing yourself to do all 30.

Just pure power man. Great job.

  • @wolverineroks Thanks a lot bro

  • My power clean workout is 5x5 of 225, 215 and 205 for a total of 75 reps. I only drop the weight to the ground after the 5th rep of each set, otherwise, I hold the bar and drop to the knees, bend to grown and restart the lift once the plates barely touch the ground. The sets are quick; they are no longer than 18s per set even in the latter portions of the workout. I wish I didn't have to lift in my university gym so I could drop the plates after each rep :( Good Vid tho!!

  • Niesamowita walka, widać że sport to twoje życie :-)

  • very inspiring Dario i completed 22 reps of this yesterday takes a lot of wind to lift that 30x

  • HOLY ASSFUCK

  • amazing!!! perfect form and consistence keep it up

  • @austinpride33 Thanks a lot bro

  • Whats your discus at easily 200 with this workout haha u make it to Olympics?

  • that's pure power. Good work man.

  • awesome !!

  • good lift do you jump high for the amount you can powerclean

  • Very motivating.

  • @TheMorganation Thanks a lot

  • i cant even power clean this for 1

  • This place looks familiar . Is this at RV'S ? Great work btw

  • @Lodhvy Yes it is bro

  • Hero.

  • Good job Dario, never mind the haters. Your work ethic and drive are bar none.

  • @BenjaminPipic Thanks so much bro

  • STE-RIODS!!!

  • @BenjaminPipic Yep. I KNOW when people use steriods. Please don't bother trying though, because you already failed.

  • @13andincrediblycut Fuck you. I have nothing more to say to envious shits like you who will never accomplish anything.

@ video, you rock. I learned cleans through this video, great form, great everything. Good luck.

  • @THEPRESTIGE1995 Thanks so much bro and for people that comment bad they are just jealous it does not bother me if they are so though and smart than they should come and tell it to my face, this video is to inspire people and hope your training is going great all the best bro

  • why do some people go down? like when someone power cleans they go down like a squat? i dont even know how to power clean anymore lol

  • @Gcounty404 If someone is doing a large amount of weight for their standards, they squat to get under the bar and then will straighten their legs out to finish the rep. This guy is pretty strong sohe doesnt need the squat, the momentum he creates with his arms and shoulder is enough to lift it.

  • awesome video, great form too

  • Beautiful. never give up. you're AWSOME.

  • @MrYouData Thank you so much

  • awesome vid man. very motivational

  • Ryan Vierra's "gym" ?

  • @throws56 Yep thats it

  • Good for you! That is an incredible demonstration. Not only is the strength and power impressive, but the endurance of doing that many reps with such a respectable weight is phenomenal!

  • what's your max? i seriously would love to know.

  • you put too many to shame with this video.

  • very good nice job i dont drop the bar though im 12 and i do 150 is that good? i also have 18in vertical

  • killer soundtrack bro

  • This guy looks like David Foster Wallace with a haircut.

  • nice dude add me on rs

  • hands down THE BEST workout video on youtube. i really spent 20 minutes looking for this one again since i had forgotten to "favorite it" when i saw it a few months ago.

  • hands down one of my favorite videos on youtube. i really spent 20+ minutes trying to find this video again, luckily i did. now i've favorite-d it. good job!

  • @ahstram Thanks a lot man a appreciate it

  • Wow, man. You killed it! Loving the completely ironic music too.

  • you make those look easy at the start man. i can only do 95lbs 3 sets of 10 so far. to think of 225, makes me all nervous and stuff.

  • Nice video. I wish I could do 225X1 lol

  • Impressive!

  • RESPECT

  • intense... !!

  • damn i hate cleans they`re so tiring

  • Dont be droppin them like that pussy. Keep them in your hands, be a man.

  • @Spitatra

You're going to call him a pussy? Look at you.

  • @choggerboom Very clever.

  • @Spitatra

Sorry, I just can't fathom how you're telling this guy to be a man when he does 30 continues reps of 225. Drop or not that's fucking hard. I hope you're just kidding.

  • @choggerboom Good point, it is fucking hard. I know I cant do that. Im just saying that when you dont drop the weights, it makes it tougher.

  • @Spitatra

Okay, well let's not call him a pussy, just was unecessary

  • @Spitatra You have to drop the weight...obviously you know nothing about training for power because if you did you would understand that dropping 225 from you shoulders to your waist and catching it 30x would most likely leave you with a pulled muscle or slipped disc.

  • Insane.

  • phenomenal. looked like you had at least 5 more in you

  • Wow, keep up the good work...

  • WTF this is more like 30 sets of one....I mean come on! Hes dropping the weight ! thats a form of resting! i bet i can do my max which is 210 30 times like that if i took pauses in between reps hell i could probally go more

  • @naushadisgay

i bet you can't so go prove me wrong and post the video on youtube.

you're meant to drop the weight or else you WILL get injured. we're all waiting for your video so hurry up and prove you can do this

  • @naushadisgay you'd be fucked after 6 reps

  • Wow! inspiration!

  • you train in modesto?? thats where i live. i play basketball for the college there. our strength coach was a big time weight lifter. thats really impressive. you push yourself so hard. i admire your work ethic. youve motivated me to push myself even harder.

  • I could do it 30 times too if I threw the weight down everytime. I focus more on negatives when I train, but hey that's just me.

Nice job! Def. old school work-out style. This is how you become a cave man! :p

  • @maxboost724 You cant focus on letting down a power clean its an explosive lift...

  • when you are doing that much weight its better to let it drop so you don't throw your shoulder out.

  • @maxboost724 Negatives? That is what bodybuilders do, its called eccentric training, training for muscle growth. This is a power lift, it is for power, not growth.

  • form could use a lil bit of work, he seems to bounce it off his thighs, it doesnt ride straight up his body. but that being said he is using a weight that is not challenging at all for him so that could be why, and im not hating on this guy he looks like a beast im just saying! and i agree to everyone who says this song is perfect for the vid hahaha

  • @edj2010 A lot of guys look like they bounce it off their thighs but it usually is just a brush when they explode through their hips, not really a bounce. If the bar swings out away from their body you know they are bouncing it.

  • super emotional song for this vid lol

  • agree with you on that one man! hehehe, not the most inspirational song for such a vid...

  • incredible....

  • damn that a lot of friggin reps. my max was 185 and im 16 and weigh 145 pounds

  • nice. so then what's your max??

  • his max is over 400

  • Awesome!

  • ok i showed my father this he trained with Brian oldfield and im sure you heard of him and as soon as he saw you he said hes a thrower Goodjob man im only 14 and throw shot and 120 powerclean

  • you inspire me bro..

  • @Highgradeeverday Cause its a blast

  • man....today i felt so cool....cause i was doing 155 ...but this kicked my ass

    lol

  • how did you make your power clean stronger, I only wish right now that I could get up to 225, im only doing 145 right now

  • wow..you weren't even bending your knees slightly..that's power..awesome

  • I really felt those last 5!!! Well done!

  • Thanks bro

  • i have a question. should you be dropping it like that? i know this is a video im talking about a regular person in the gym. Should you be dropping the weight like that though?

  • in the gym you should not be doing that only if the is a platform for weightlifting and it all depends what you are training for, some people drop the weight some don't if you look at most videos on youtube 90% drop the weight its weightlifting that supposed to be explosive and heavy weight its good idea to drop or you might get injured

  • it also conserves energy, if you hold on to it on the way down it depletes your grip strength and stamina, especially if you're doing 30 reps. ridiculous.

  • He is using rubber bumper plates that are designed to be dropped. To do this lift and (most) other Olympic lift and try to drop the weight back to the ground with your arms and body is asking for injury fast. These lifts are designed to be only concentric lifts from ground to top) with no eccentric (lowering) component and the equipment is designed for that as well. Most bodybuilding gyms do not have the right equipment (rubber bumper plates and lifting platform) to do this.

  • @Tranquil787 He's using bumper plates as you can see. If the gym that you decide to go to has no bumper plates then do not drop the weights. You can break their equipment and they will get pissed. But if they dont mind then go for it

  • DIRTY!!!

  • u must have an insane vert

  • Awesome endurance, incredible! God bless your power!!!

  • All I can say is WOW!! You, sir, just established a new benchmark in the lifting community that may not be reached for several years. "Muscle Beach" lifters (aka the curl crowd, which is the majority of lifters) have NO clue about your gift. 20 rep squats are difficult, BUT DANG! 30 REP POWER CLEANS W/ 225 LBS ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE, or so I thought, til I saw this vid. GREAT JOB!

  • Thanks so much man, yes this was crazy hard

  • I am 37 y.o., 5'8" and 187 lbs. My 1RM squat below parallel is 315 lbs. My 1RM DL is 300 lbs. I am proud of my PR's in these powerlifts considering I did not start serious training until two years ago. But when it comes to power cleans, pffft, I have a difficult time doing 135 lbs for 8 reps. In fact, yesterday I did 3 sets of 135 lbs power cleans for 8 reps and my heart rate monitor was over 100 percent! So I can't even imagine doing 225 for 30 reps. OL lifts are harder than PL lifts.

  • great performance man.. lousy music though ;)

  • cross fitters would be proud

  • crossfit has nothing to do with it

  • very impressive

  • you are the man!

  • Fucking impressive

  • i can't even do one :(

  • im not sure everybody knows how impressive this is and how difficult it is...lots of lifters do high rep squats at times but this is very special

  • Dats sum powerful stuff, well done man

  • can you say beast! damn man

  • Legit stuff! Very inspirational, keep it up man.

  • Thanks bro

  • wow if you had good form u could have done way more

  • that is good form

  • My friend left that comment not me. I dont give a shit how much weight a person can or cant leift

  • That's hardcore!

  • Wow man, that was pretty inspiring! Awesome!

  • Thanks man

  • thats insane

im gonna do something like this my next back day

  • Hey man, very impressive. Im curious how tall you are.

  • lol just doin it over and over and over and over

  • I have to say that is one of the most impressive things i ve seen, and i ve competed internationally in powerlifting, so i ve seen impressive lifting before, but this is really good!

  • Thank you very much, thats was nice to hear

  • i just started power cleans and im 6'3, will my height put a hampering on how much i can lift? i practice with 160lbs till i get my technique down

  • hahah man great vid ur really strong and at the end of the video it said pain is temproary pride is forever that's what is says in my football field house at my school

  • Thanks man

  • I''m 16 and my max power clean is 255.

What kind of workouts do you personally do to build power?

Right now mine is 5x3 2x1 of power cleans and thats at the beginning of my legs day.

  • well to build power i use a lot of different workout's and exercises, i do a lot of one arm power clean to help increase my regular clean and it worked for me i do no more than 3 reps max on power cleans sets to build power and lots of high pulls. You are very strong for 16 years and your strength will come natural too

  • thanks i did some one armed power cleans in the gym at my school with dumbells and i think i'm going to integrate them into my deadlift day on a regular basis

  • you are the man!

  • amazing.. honestly you are the first person I ever subscribed that shows home video type lifting... I really really look up to you.. keep up man

  • Thanks a lot, glad you like the videos and train hard

  • your strong, looks like your just standing up

  • Thanks a lot

  • wow this is impressive...what age did u start lifting?

  • Thanks man i started lifting seriously when i was 19, train hard

  • man how do you do it? my hang and power cleans have plateaued hard. good job bro

  • Thanks man, i do lots of one arm power cleans and that has helped my two arm power clean big time

  • now do you do those with the barbell? what else works to increase your clean?

  • yeah i do one arm power cleans with a barbell and also make sure you do a lot of clean pulls heavy, that will help increase your cleans too and when you do your clean workout try to go to 1-3 reps with a bit heavyer weight don't do the same sets and reps all the time

  • that was freaking beast man GJ

  • thanks man

  • Hey I was wondering if you could help me with power clean work. I sent you a message a while back stating what I do for workouts, but now I'm up to 185 on heavy sets 4x3.

  • great work!!!

  • thanks so much

  • wow thats crazy. my lifting coach had me go to failer with 170 and i pulled it 9 times and that took the breath out of me i couldnt imagine doing anywhere close to that for 30 haha. my max is only like 205 ish probably a little more i get tested in 3 weeks tho so hopefully in the 220 range =].

  • Way to push yourself. Very impressive.

  • thanks man

  • thanks a lot, yeah that was very though

  • That was pretty mental. I'm surprised your forearms didnt tire. You must have a grip like a vice to do so many reps.

  • yeah you are right, that was very mental and my grip is good i train grip a lot

  • great vid just wondering what kind of belt that is bc it looks good for cleans

  • yeah thanks man its a skinny belt its a lighter type belt where you can get at a regular sport store like a nylon belt its not one of the thick powerlifting belts, its very good for cleans and easy to adjust

  • damn, i bet your muscles were just screaming at you to stop.

  • yeah man, it was crazy and my muscles were sore after, but i took to failure

  • This is crazy, not only did you complete 30 reps, but they were full reps, not just high pulls like many athletes do. Great Job dario im a fan

  • thank you so much, and glad you liked the video

  • I was IMPRESSED & like my brother I was vicariously getting winded with you; a word of caution from someone maybe older & wiser? there is a fine line between valor & unnecessary risk--20 would have been enough--it was truly scary watching you @ the end!! Take care my friend :)

  • Dang, dude. That was intense.

    Was this at Ryan's place?

  • Impressive, good job

  • Thanks Mark, yeah that was hard next time i will try 315 pounds for reps to failure

  • I was breathing hard watching this lol! Now that's a set to failure! Dario, awesome endurance.Great workout my friend!!!!!

  • holy, nice stff dario

you should come back out to canada and throw some more tv's lol .

  • thanks so much, yeah it was the hardest power clean work out i have ever done

  • man that was incredible...
