Computer games do teach skills, So I don't agree with this woman. When I was very young I played learning games for just about every subject in science. Went onto college at the age of 15 and became an engineer at age 20.
Most of my early interest in science came from PBS, Knowledge Adventure and MECC.
If it wasn't for those programs I would have never found an interest in what I love best and be where I am today.
