  • one of them sealable bags lol priceless love your stuff man helps a lot!!!

  • man, what is the alternative for Ground Celery Seeds?

  • I'm sure this tastes better on the meat but I made the same recipe with the same ingredients minus the cumin because I didn't have any and tasting just the rub dry without meat was undesirable but im sure on meat it's better.

  • I definately need to try this rub out except ill use brown sugar. we had an original coal smoker which my father had converted to electric a long time ago an hasnt been used in years but I really have been wanting to learn how to smoke some ribs and other meats since I've recently discovered that I really enjoy cooking. Usually when I cook ribs i put basic garlic salt, lemon pepper and add water and a seal of foil to cook but would the rub stay on if i tried them in the oven ?

  • I love that he uses the simpliest things to cook.Plastic bags to hold the dry ingredients. Just a reg. tablespoon to measure. I keep thinking about the actor that does the diabetes commercials with the mustache when I hear his voice.Don't know his name.

  • @yorkieowner2010 sam elliot

  • Try latin women **busizz4me.info**

  • I made a rib rub very similar that I got off your site. One or 2 items different.

I initaly made it for some apple smoked ribs, then wound up making a huge batch of it, goes great on chicken and pork, even light on fish.

On nearly any type of beef steak though I just use a little soy sauce and a bit of garlic powder. Never had a complaint.

  • I appreciate the post but it seems like there is too much sugar & salt compared to the other ingredients. And why not use brown sugar instead of traditional sugar. The selection of spices is ok with me but the proportion quantity is way off.

  • what is that tune?

  • i just wrote it down:

    1 cup sugar

    1/2 cup salt

    1 tbs cumin (?)

1 tbs cayenne pepper (bit more if u want)

    1 tbs garlic powder

    1/2 tbs some sellerie seed

    3 tbs paprika

    some fresh pepper

    enjoy!

  • I have enjoyed the grill this summer. My family just finished some gud chicken wings hot off the grill. Thanks for your web-site!

  • thats alot of cocaine

  • 1:07 - 1:13 haha haha

  • your vids are amazing !

    much love from australia

  • ''comes in handy when u need a good rub real quick'' rofl

  • i just heared that and was like lol i bet someone quoted that in a comment!

  • I just tried the rub recipe this afternoon. I was impressed. Thanks BBQ Pit Boys!

  • lol the narrator sounds like Don Frye the retired MMA fighter..rofl

  • i just tried this rub, and oh my god, it was truley amazing

thank you for making this youtube channel

  • what does it taste like?

  • i donno hard to explain, you would really hav eto try it yourself, but with that 1 little tablespoon of cayenne pepper, and the larger amounts of everything else, you can still taste it

  • peyrTawmax ghaan.. chayndaawl nyaw dawng

  • would it taste any different substitute brown sugar for the white

  • I would definitely sub brown sugar. really nice flavour

  • I agree. Can't do ribs without brown sugar. Some people do cinnamon, but that's more a scent than a taste after you cook it.

  • All good rub is the same. Anyone who tries adding anything new ends up looking like a fool. Salt + pepper + sugar + bitter + sour = rub. It's not that hard.

    Mmmmmmm barbecue.

  • I make pretty much the same dry rub, except I dont put sugar in it. I am one of those that can't have sugar. Once I put everything together, I put it in the BULLET blender. It makes is a FINE powder. and it soaks in faster than the granual form. Keep it up Pit Boys. Ya'll are doing good... James....

  • i used the bullet blender too, my grocery store was out of ground cumin, so i bought cumin seed and put everything in the blender, perfect

  • Hey PitBoys!

you have to try this rub on the PorterHouse!!

    it was delicious.

the rub locked in the juices and the natural flavor of the meat, then it has the rubs flavor!

thanks for such a great rub recipe!

  • i have made a video response to your video

check it out on my page

  • might have to get ourselves some porterhouse for tonight..!

  • no prob

    well for you

you can grill it low and slow

    and grab yourself a beer.

  • will this work for a porterhouse?

  • easy now, AtomicHellRaiser, if you have yourself a Porterhouse, then salt and pepper is all ya need. That beef flavor in that porter..should not be covered up with rub. Now a good steak sauce on the side for dippin' in after grillin' that porter.. is a whole other story! -BBQ Pit Boys

  • thanks

so i wont use the rub i made tonight but i will try it another time.

but can i still try it on the porter house?

  • ya know AtomicHellRaiser, (digg that UN) barbecue is all about what your gut is tellin' you what you should do. Go for it, and get back to us! You're makin' us hungry with the whole concept of a rub on a Porterhouse. -BBQ Pit Boys

  • You guys have inspired me!

don't worry i am going to try the rub on my porterhouse!

just to let you guys know im only 15 and i love BBQing!!

i will definitely get back to you guys and how it taste!

  • I put this dry rub on some chicken wings, and greatness was achieved. I WILL be using it again.

    Peace

  • BarbecueWeb Man is awesome. His voice sounds like the old narrator from the Dukes of Hazard! Dudes if you want to score with the ladies cook up his "Crab Stuffed Shrimps". I've got a few still stalking me for the recipe. Once they saw the ingredients they didn't want to leave the house. Netflix+BBQ Web= Fatal Attraction :-)!!

  • Hey dorowater, you're makin' us blush. That ol' boy from the Dukes was the immortal Waylon Jennings, the roots of Outlaw Country music. Now, when a woman finds out you can cook real good, they start hangin' around 'cause they feel ya really don't need a woman around. That ain't sexist -it's just the way it is! -BBQ Pit Boys

  • Love the celery seed...

I've heard celery seed called a "secret ingredient" in potato salad too...

  • Man.... you are so good at making BBQ approachable and simple. Keep up the great work!

  • redneck bbq rox

  • i like watching your cook video.yeah!!!

  • does sea salt really make a difference?

  • Yessssssssssssss it does!!!!!

  • Why? I'm not being stubborn, I just don't understand what the difference is.

  • It's a little more coarse than regular salt, so it seems to not dissolve as much while on the meat (sorta sticks around longer). Try it out and see what you think. I'm sure a coarser iodized salt would work just as well.

  • More food please..*drooling*

  • wow that's amazing

  • nice rub recipe
