1: HE WAS ALREADY 70 YEARS OLD OR OLDER. 2: HE MIGHT OR MIGHT NOT HAVE ALREADY BEEN TO THE DOCTOR AND GOTTEN THE CANCER DIAGNOSIS, WHEN HE ALLEGEDLY PREDICTED HIS OWN DEATH. 3: TOM SNYDER WAS A GREAT INTERVIEWER, BUT HE WAS NOT A HUGE CELEBRITY. MOST TOURISTS VISITING LOS ANGELES DONT EVEN KNOW WHO TOM SNYDER WAS. HE DID HAVE A GREAT SHOW. THE INTERVIEWS WERE A LOT BETTER THAN LENO OR LETTERMAN. TYPICAL LETTERMAN OR LENO SHOW IS A CELEB WITH A MOVIE TO PLUG, & THE USUAL ASS KISS
Years ago when I worked the late shift, I would always turn on Tom's show when I got home. It was a very enjoyable show, it helped me forget all the crap I had to put up with during my work day. Tom was smart and likeable. He had great guests as well. Miss him and the show!
I remember seeing Tom Snyder on TV on his show, and saying to myself "I want to spend some time where he's from, and absorb some of what made Tom so cool"
The Late Late Show didn't start until 1995, so this would have happened after 1994. By the way, what's the deal with the Onassis obit report at the end?
What?

And all of the sudden John Beard drops in.....he's the anchorman in the final seconds of the clip.

He predicted his own death just as much as I can predict my own death by saying "I'm going to die some day". Pretty funny nonetheless! lol

@lrj1119 A "colortini", according to Snyder in the CNBC era, was the drink you should enjoy while watching the show.
