The shield makes you invinsible for about 10 seconds or so. Probably supposed to be like a panic button, but as you have to press space to activate it (and take your hand off the joystick) it dosnt really work. Its one use only too.
Things to note in video: on map 4 you can pick up the "shield". A bit late to get it i think as map 4 is the last map (before going back to map 1 again). So its kinda silly to put it there and most people that has played the game probably dosnt know its there.

I dont think so, i havnt seen one :D Once you finish stage 4 it just goes back to stage 1 map again (and again and again).

If you complete it like 200 times in a row maybe.
