My "opinion" was slight, yours was very strong as if you believe it to be fact(which it isnt) and want to convince others the same. @91gt306 The only real skill is throwing & catching the ball. AFL Kick, Mark, Handball, kick field goals on the run from countless different places & situations. The same goes for all the skills.

Its the same in Soccer & all other good sports the skills are done in lots of different situations. Not just one dimensional & pretty much only 2 skills like in American Football.

O-linemen are really the only ones that do one thing, but what they do is what is the most important, but they dont just get off the couch and go play, they actually train hard in the weightroom and on the field so that means they are athletes. Troy polomalu career stats shows hes not just one deminsional, just like the other players in the skill positions.

This guy sounds just as ignorant as all the others who bag on this sport. If you didnt grow up with it then you may not like it, simple as that. I didnt grow up watching aussie rules football so to me that sport looks a bit odd and im not a fan. Anyone who says its overrated or soccer and afl are better have never even played it, so you cant give a true opinion on it. Sorry but the fact that you guys always focus on the 6'6 330lbs linemen is stupid.

i can totally see where he's coming from, but being brought up with the nfl only, i respect it a lot more and it truly is a fantastic sport. it is quite difficult to understand, took me several years before i got all the scoring systems and penalties figured out, but once you've got it down it is an exciting game that really can get you riled up and cheering for your team. it does take a while but these guys are putting in 10 times the physical effort of soccer players, its all brute force.
