  • Lol so I guess he is going to dissapear, gonna happen

  • I had dream once about being able to commicate with people from the past via an internet forum. I had this dream after coming across a few internet discussion forum where the last post had been several years ago. Anyway in the dream I came upon a forum which had been inactive since 2002 and posted on it got a reply from someone whose post I noted was dated 2002. I told them that I was posting on there from 2007 and someone replied "well its 2002 here".

  • @ParagramTree So it is you who is posting from the past, for it is not 2007, but 2011 here... Kidding, I see that your dream took place years ago. But seriously, your idea is very interesting! The premise was somewhat used, rather clumsily and in the most irksomely maudlin fashion, in the movie "Frequency", where a son, in the late 90's, communicates with his father in 1970 through a radio unit.

  • I love how the time machine records audio.

  • Comment removed

  • Why are the views increasing with each video? Do people just like to skip to the end or what?

  • i fuckin KNEW you could go back in time with a reel to reel......

  • @onemanjazzfuneral LOL yeah that's what I was thinking as well. LOL maybe the nerdy explanation is they need fragments from the past to go there, but still they've been using those same reels for the course of the episode so yeah LOL reel to reel. the technology is not so advanced yet. still you have to admit, they're ahead of their time in-terms of story telling.

  • No Time Like Part 2.

  • he didnt think this over ,very well to convince these people.

  • What I like about the possibility of time travel is to live in an era of one's choosing.

  • BRILLIANT!

  • of course the past can be changed, this man was just a bloody useless idiot.

  • This guy really sucks at changing the past. And now that he doesn't want to, I suppose he's gonna do a real good job of it, which means he sucks again.

  • I disagree with Harvey about not changing minute things. The only thing about time travel is he would need to bring the proper money for the time period. Coins from the future would be a no-no. The right clothes would be necessary too.

  • Is there any point in speculating, seriously, about something that is an impossibility? It is fun to watch and read time travel stuff, though.

  • @tjttzcspplt Most people, nowadays, don't even know who Garfield is, much less that he was assasinated.

  • You know, everytime I see this part of the episode, I wonder what the person thought who looked at that nickel ( he bought his beer with) when he saw it had been minted in the 1950's or 1960's, when the year was 1881.

  • I can't find part 1 :(

  • If you want to watch the entire episode go to VEOH. You Tube deleted part of this uploaded episode and as a result only parts of it remain.

  • @janglymark Part One of Twilight Zone's NO TIME LIKE THE PAST can be found on on YouTube. I couldn't find it 11 months ago, but now I was able to. I won't spoil it for you so that is all I am going to say. Good luck.

  • @janglymark

here's part 1, i was watching this episode on his channel but he only had the first two parts and had to move over here

    /watch?v=Ocd96dxS1ig&feature=channel_video_title

  • do you have part 1?

  • so it says the past cant be change and yet harvey complains that if he mess one thing up...evrything changes...

  • So the time machine sounds like a combination of the mind-control crystals out of The Invaders and the Ipcress machine....

  • This episode seems like it might have originally been written to be two seperate half-hour Twilight Zones, before the show was expanded temporarily to a full hour, for half a season in 1963.

  • yes, he says A and not A in the same breath. So what does he really think things are?? Maybe not a flaw in the writing but to show that people often say self contradicting things because, as you say, they don't understand; but want to sound wise.

  • so if hitler died then there will only be a ww1 and no jews will die and ww2 might of happened now if hitler died

  • What the hell are you talking about?

  • i'm saying that if hitler was assasinated, then there won't be a world war 2

  • I'm sure it wasn't his decision alone

  • @lxgiwylgta I think they would put himmler in for hitler and they would go crazy over the hole thing.

  • major flaw in reasoning: everything is cause and effect/but you can't change anything??

  • that isn't flawed at all. It is a theory and is just as valid as the rest, We don't understand time.

  • sorry bout that, I get you now. You mean the fiction has tried to have 2 opposite theories at same time

  • It's from the 60s they still burned witches back then.

  • I don't think it was really necessary to show the name of the ship.

  • d not defeated the japanese, who knows we could be living in a worl ran by nazis! i think we can all agree that WW2 was necessary (becuase of the awful sate germany had been put into since world war 1) but it happend in a shity way, and that stinkymouser should seek therapy and that the twilight zone is a pretty great show!

  • Well, I think Russia would have defeated the Germans, but then we would be living in a world run by the Soviet Union, that's the big issue.

  • No Russia would have been stopped by the proud and powerful France.

And after a sneak attack over America, France would have ruled the world. You would then have Gerard Depardieu as president for the Socialist United States French Colony. :)

  • do you actully think that the US won the european theatre? if you do, you have been tottaly brianwashed, the US entred the war killed tons of innocent japanse people forcing the japs ton surrender so they diddnt get WIPED OFF OF EVERY MAP AND OUT OF HISTORY! then they came and helped out the russians (and canadians and europeans) but the US can hardly be called the reason the war was won in the west! you should really read a book about WWII that was written by an american

    PS stinkymouser=fucked

  • Dude, there's no need to treat me like an idiot. Firstoff, yes, I know that the US entered the war late and was primarily concerned with Japan. However, if the Americans hadn't fought the Japanese, Japan would have probably consolidated its holdings, and then eventually been able to help Germany in Europe. If Germany had either held off on its invasion of Russia or picked up the UK as an ally (which was what Hitler had hoped for) they might have won, especially given Japanese support.

  • @Veovis7 WOW.its 2011.not 1947

  • @Veovis7 ONE THING PISSES ME OFF ABOUT JAPAN...IT REFUSED TO FIRE UPON SOVIET SHIPS CARRYING SUPPLIES FROM US TO FIGHT GERMANY......BUT IN 45..RUSSIA DECLARED WAR ON JAPAN...ATTACKED AND SEIZED TERRITORY..SOMEOF WHICH IT REFUSES TO RETURNM..EVEN THOUGH IT'S PRIMARILY USELESS

  • Oh, and yes, I also agree that Stinkymouser = fucked. Total agreement there.

  • I kind of came off a bit harsh there, clearly your know more than i gave you credit for, thank recognizing that the US isnt some incredable beast that came into the war in the nick of time killing billions of germans and winning the war, many citizans of the US do infact belive ( alees exaggerated) version of this, i guees im just sick of some ignorant people giving all the credit to the sates. if the Us had not joined the war it most likly would have gone on for far longer, and if the the US ha

  • i believe they used the same area as in "walking distance" in the town

  • 3 tries, 3 misses... he didn't exactly try so hard did he? but anyway, i dont believe the past should be changed, the consequences are too large, like Harvey says.

  • No way fuzzy.Hitler was dictator.Right now. if he was still here he would rule the world and also will not let jews to be enter.YOU ARE TURNING INTO HITLER!AMERCIANS ROCK

  • I SHOULD WATCH BEFORE I COMMENT.

  • ha ha love the democrat joke i love this show

  • well, in fairness, if he'd been a quicker shot he totally could have taken down Hitler...

  • Very true! LOL If he hadn't forgotten the damn bullet! LOL

  • tall32guy. Try watching again. He did put a bullet in the rifle. But it misfired.

  • > If I could go back in the past, I would

    > tell Hitler not to break his alliance pact

    > with Stalin. then Hitler would have won the

    > war and Europe would be a lot better off

    > today.

Regardless of the loss of human life, you simply don't know anything about the economics of fascism or communism. We are practicing fascist economics now. You're in for a lesson soon.

  • You know, I have to admit it; assuming you could convince Hitler (probably not, but hey) that plan of yours could easily work.

Damn good thing he broke the pact though. For a while in '41 Germany could have won, if the American's hadn't entered.

  • Yes, but it's not easy to kill someone when your life is not in danger. Even if he is a monster.

  • @natashaclaire well he did pull the trigger but it wouldn't fire remember? cause he can't change the past.

  • @natashaclaire indeed. also if he barricaded the door and ignored the maid. He doesn't have to worry about an escape plan since he can time travel.
