I have just read this, it looks like you'v had the life that i aspire to have! I'm 18 now and have just finished my First Diploma in Travel and Tourism and can't seem to get even a little job in a shop for some customer service experience! I would love to walk into an airline! Could you give me some advice or tips on how to go about getting into Cabin Crew? I would one day love to work for Virgin but Monarch would suit me well for my first job. Thanks!! (:
The favourite airline that we used. Don't see many from Edinburgh these last couple of years, have they stopped flying from here? What about Glasgow, anyone know?
i hate to say this but the 757's are staying, the 767 is going. what with delays the 787's probably wont arrive so alternate A330's and 737 800 LR will arrive. ps my dads photo of the snow de icing is in their when they did the lapland flight.
@Aviationnation10 Monarch operate a fleet of modern aircraft. The A32x series isn't ancient nor is the A330, the 757's are probably the oldest aircraft in their fleet. So research before making comments ike that.
@Aviationnation10 You mean old, not modern, the aircraft them selves are considered modern, the age on the other hands is OLD, not CLASS (opposite to modern, I'm sure you know)... Example of a classic, Boeing 737-200. ¬_¬ Please think correctly before commenting like that.
Monarch....the only airline these days that really cares...I have flown with them for many years..no complaints..only praise. well done Monarch....always my first choice..!!
Love Monarch! Flew with them back in 2007 on the 757-200 with the kandi livery. Going to Dalaman on friday with them so im looking forward to flying with them again on the 757. I also would like to try and be a pilot for them when im older.
I flew with last year only 16 planes hardly no leg room would appreciate if they would be newer plane like an Boeing 767-800 or something the planes have been rotting for 20 years mind if Airbus A320 was an monarch with no tvs in chairs at least It would have more bars and stuff better food
No offence intended here! but i flew to florida on the a330 and it was appualing! im 6ft i had no leg room what so ever and the seat infront of me was too close and no tv in the back of your seat!
Stop wasting money on stupid liveries when they could be spending it to upgrade there cabins!!!!!!
Well dangould2000, said i was using Globespan, they were ok by the way except, i was charged £40 extra for my suitcase supposedly being over the limit, strange as i'd say it was the same weight as when i go anywhere! The check-in staff at Palma could do with a lesson in manners towards people, and i was charged 60e for the o/w suitcase on return, asked twice where i've to pay this, they just pointed in a general direction, the wrong way! Still, the bacon panini was nice. Monarch still wins tho!
i appreciate the enthusiasm, and believe me i would like to join, but whether ZB are actually hiring and whether i'd be getting a temp or a permanant contract makes all the difference.
@duclaw1987 Erm...well all the information you need to know will be online. However an interview for what? An airline has hundreds of positions. If your interviews coming up...you should pull your finger out now. They dont take just anyone.
well that'll never happen, Delta and Monarch are totally different airlines Monarch is a small charter airline with some scheduled service to popular holiday destinations, whereas Delta Air Lines is the largest airline in the world. slight difference wouldn't you say.........
i love Monarch i fly with them every year when i go to cyprus and i always feel safe on them i think there one of the best planes going and i always go on them :D
Thanks dangould2000, i was originally booked to fly with Air Europa but they changed the flight time to an evening flight meaning i'd pretty much lose a day of my holiday. We've friends going to the same area on the same day, they always seem to use Globespan and i hoped when i booked i'd be on the same flight but ended up with AirEuropa instead! Their flight was 6am, ours was 9am then moved to 5pm, wasn't happy so managed to get the booking changed to theirs, now..i'm happier!
Since my last post on this video, i've also used ThomasCook Airlines January (09). I'm now about to use Flyglobespan in a few weeks, Monarch so far have still been the best airline with Thomsonfly next and ThomasCook last, Flyglobespan will have a lot to live upto to convince me Monarch isn't still the best, the others haven't so far
im not a big fan of monarch their entertainment is very poor the prices for small canned drinks are a bit to much seats dont have enough legroom but apart form those things monarch is ok to fly with
love this airline. came of one a few weeks ago then im going in october again on the same airline. the first one i saw was huge could not believe it. 5* airline
