@hypnofan35 - No one knows for sure but it's thought that stress is a major factor in getting the illness, a lot of peoples illness starts at the start of school, or a major upset in their lives like deaths, abuse, or some kind of trauma

Also for males it starts around 17 to 23 in a lot of cases
