It had nothing really to do with Dick Cheney; It was at the time about the outrage in the media over Ann Coulter's words about John Edwards, who ironically turned out not to be secretly gay. There was no similar outrage over this exchange, so the point was to show that hypocrisy. Of course, as time goes on, this clip seems to have taken on a new life, and the original point forgotten.

In doing so he had us willingly sacrifice our children.Was it worth it?I certainly don't think so and neither do many Americans out there.And to answer your question he was wrong about his other reason for example,democracy fails,as most prefered Saddam to the currant dangers of bombs,and there was no connection between Iraq and 911.

Wow. I remember when I used to watch Maher, back when he was funny and not a raving asshole. You know, back when he was a comedian who had a topical show that made fun or people and stuff in the news. He's two-faced as hell, and I don't have an ounce of respect for him. I haven't for a long time. I agree with him on several political and social issues, but I think celebrity really has gone to his head. He's just another asshole now.

@timetochilli I was agreeing. The religious spend their lives avoiding "sins". However no human is perfect nor without "sin". The best way to make a "sin" not a "sin" is to justify it as an acceptable action although the justification may strongly contradict the righteous and fundamental philosophical writings. It's the nature of humans to desire these "sins" or else it wouldn't be a test of faith. Religion is bullshit. You can circumvent these tests of faith to suit your needs in reality.

It's acceptable for liberals to curse or whatever because they they don't mind it, but if you're going to run your politics based on some christian values or whatever you should act accordingly to them.

You clearly only know the 5 minute explanation of the theory of evolution as first off it isn't called Darwinism as it has progressed incredibly far since Darwin, second it isn't as simple as "survival of the fittest". For lots of animals it ISN'T a matter of direct competition with members of their own species, or won being an example of this. Another example is the African Wild dog which will feed and protect crippled pack members until they die. What does politics have to do with evolution?
