I love your videos. I have quite a bit to digest here. Beautiful work. It's incredible to see close up the work being done to help these guys survive. Hats off to you all.
If anyone has seen a turtle in Ontario, you can report it to the Toronto Zoo's "Ontario Turtle Tally"
We share all our sightings with Ontario Nature, and the Ministry of Natural Resources. The reported sightings help biologists protect turtle populations in Ontario, and mitigate the threat of road mortality (which is right up there with predation and habitat loss as the top threats to turtles in ON!)
This is the best academic herp video I've ever seen! The sunset shots, ambient music, good resolution, and candid predation scenes kept me entranced. You should conduct workshops across the nation, teaching grad students to put stuff like this together. Nothing reaches people like video! (A video is worth a thousand pictures).
@MyFishies Thanks very much for the kind gesture! Wildlife Preservation Canada (address in the description) is a major supporter of this work, and they are able to accept donations and issue receipts (and ensure that donations be allocated to specific projects such as this one). If anyone is interested and has the means to donate, please feel free to contact Elaine Williams at WPC.
