Do you ever fight with the knife the other way around?
ie. knife protruding out the bottom of your hand rather then the top? Such a grip gives more powerful strikes, it's harder to knock the knife from your hand and let's you punch as well as slash.
I know a bit of knife fighting and have heard that is the way professionals fight.
