as i was born in 1995, i never had the opportunity to fly Pan Am. wish i could go back in time just to do so, instead of paying for food on american airlines coach class
@thelucatgs Me too. I had a PanAm toy when I was little. I was born in '80 and remember that was my favorite airline back then. I wish flying was still glamourous like it was.
What a beautiful video. I was a Pan Am stewardess from 79 until 91, and flew JFK-GIG many times. I tell you, that clip of the interior of my "home" brought me to tears. I miss Pan Am so very much. Class all the way. Thank you for posting this! Very well done.
@panampia I am very sorry I never got to fly on Pan Am. I have always been fascinated by this mogul of an airline that Juan Trippe has built which was once one of the big three. What were some of the things you liked best about working for Pan Am?
I remember working many of those Pan Am 747 flights as a Flight Attendant. First class looks better then than it does now. But then you have to remember, this is PAN AM!!!
Man, you made me feel like tearing down from emotion. Be sure, it will be back, with another name, but it will have the spirit of Pan Am, and will pay tribute to Pan Am, the Mama Airline that was the reason for the surge of the Boeing 747!
Nice video shot when... oh man... that was air transportation.. You were treated as a respected and valuable customer not as a number... just another passanger. Seeing the F/A smilling for the camera makes me think were did we get: If you film a cabin crew today they will treat you as a terrorist: "Why are you filming me?" "It's not allowed to take pictures of cabin crew" and so on... Oh my God.. where did we get?????
@wkaemena - yeah I know: I flew a PanAm Clipper from FRA to LAX in 1989. I still remember it - PanAm was very classy. In Eco the smoking aereas were in the back of the plane.
@wkaemena In 1989 i made my 1st longhaul flight to LAX with B.A. in Y class then a few years later i was lucky enough to fly upper class on Virgins 1st business class seat...i remember thinking back then i would never fly normal class ever again and i pretty much didnt, i think i have a video 8 of me in Virgin Atlantics Mid Class the old name for premium economy sitting beside Mikey Dee from Motorhead i might try to find it..and see how i can upload it?
my grand mother was in pan amm 103... :( She loved her job as a air hostes Ive heard from my mom. Now my mithers a flight attendant for AA! and our family is in the airline buisness carrying on the generation job!

@19bootsy68 You need a way to digitize your old video8. I bought for that some years ago a digital Sony camcorder capable of reading old video 8
