great, thanks for this 23daves, there was some pretty good music still around in 1993, i sort of lost interst in new stuff ariund 1994/5 apart from some electronic music but as for traditional type indie rock bands it had pretty much run its course
Totally agree with smithdream re a Bang Bang Machine compilation. "Geek Love" is one of my favourite songs of all time - would be nice to have this on CD instead of my battered vinyl copy which has been played to death!!
Senser were #1 on the Indie Chart of 22.05.93, so it's unusual to see them back at #1 having knocked off the music media darlings of the time, Suede. 'So young' didn't seem to have the same impact of 'Animal nitrate'. Anyway, this is the Indie Chart of 12th June 1993.
My god Dave23, you have brought my teenage years flooding back!! Voodoo Queens, Huggy Bear, Ned's.... ah that was the days, thanks for making this 30 something feel young again!!
Now this is great stuff, Memorable indeed ive got4 of these singles on vinyl such classics voodoo Queens 7inch fold out cover, so gunna enjoy lookin at your other vids, i used to wach chart show most weeks always hoping it would be the indie chart... BBM were j.Peels festive 50 No.1 this year, followed by The Fall surprisingly Free Range...
i see some shoegaze bands on the indie chart in 1993

Brilliant reminder of the past and in a hungover state watching this show.
The Chart Show is badly needed back, music has become too fractured these days,

Their songs are classics.
MBV is great too.
Like to hear Bjork covering GEEK LOVE.
BBM recorded about 50 songs so a re-issue would be fantastic.

I used to know all of the words to Switch! That was Senser's best. Rocked the Reading Fest '94 along with Henry Rollins. Classic memories...

BANG BANG MACHINE had more cool songs than just GEEK LOVE.
They released 2 albums after GEEK LOVE.
A best of BBM album is long overdue.

I'd agree with you on Bang Bang Machine, but Senser had other notable songs, such as "Switch" and my personal favourite "Age Of Panic"
