It's so hard to pick my favorite Depeche Mode song of all time. But this may very well be it. I know when I first heard this song way back when Violator came out, I was less than impressed with this song. In fact, I really didn't pay much attention to this track. But the more I sang it and strummed it on guitar, the more it grew on me. It really is a beautiful, haunting song. Some songs by Depeche Mode I loved right away (such as "Everything Counts") but this one grew to be one of my favorites.
