actually, saxes have a larger dynamic range and obviously sound better than any clarinet

Note and dynamic ranges are different,

and even then clarinet beats you because it can play extremely quiet (Tchaikovsky wrote "ppppp" as a dynamic in his 6th symphony at one point).

Sax sounds like a metal cow with autism.
