Well, it's like Canada which also has a low population relative to it's size. it's not compassion, it's self interest. labor shortage in Botswana. Just like poor Mexicans here in America
Im impressed. However, Botswana's peaceableness couldnt be that stable living next door also to South Africa. I mean, what if South Africans began running across the border into Bots because of the joblessness situation there. That could send sparsely-populated Botswana into a tailspin!
@Amalgamaite silly point, I'm from Botswana, but South African is not your typical third world country thats gonna be run-down tomorrow. They have only been indepent for 14 years, and they are on an upward trend with everything.

This was very informative. I have 2 beautiful Zimbabwean friends I met while working in Qatar. They are very educated and respectful people. My girlfriend she is a shona. she taught me so much about being an African woman. I am a better African American woman because of her. Bostwana is a great country to open their arms to their brothers and sisters. Africa!!
They sound like black mexicans to me, haha. This Mexican kid understands the Zimbabweans struggle. Hope things gets better for you my African cousins.
well boss zimbabweans tend to be not well buit,(jokes aside), they tend to pespire a lot and have an unpleseant fregrance which the emmit.,also the accent and the big structure they encompass
you are a little sterio typical mug zimbabweans are well educatatted south african dont compare and yu may have saw 1 stinky zimbabwean that dont mean all of them are the same u prik tel whr yu r from u cunt
@mischeviousclc Dude! Thats a very impolite thing to say. Please be nice and show some love! The Zimbabweans u met which u feel had an unpleasant smell, probably had not taken a bath for a couple of days because they were crossing the border & sleeping in the bush, just because they want 2 find something to do to get money and feed their children back home. Imagine it was you, with a hungry child. Would u simply stay at home because u are afraid of having an unpleasant smell? Have some empathy!
@mahwajuly86 ugly zimbabweans if botswana was poor and zim rich zimbabweans would not even want to see tswana in thier country .fuck all u makwerekwerez
@vusomujo But you dont know that for sure. I'm from Botswana & I have lived and interacted with many zimabweans & most of them I can proudly tell you that are Christian. And from the time that I have known them at a personal level I have come to appreciate them for their honesty, wisdom and great love. I believe that Zimbabwe will soon rise & all their troubles will be over. Though we are not from the same country, I still love them & if there is anything I can do to help them, I will for sure.
One difference is that Botswana is peaceful country whose foundation is Christian. Three Tribal leader went to the Queen of England to protect them form Cecial Rhodes to keep alcohol out of the country
Wonderful! This shows the world that Africans are humane, kind, welcoming, and very tolerant. Thanks very much for posting this video that shows how the displaced Zimbabweans is finding solace in wonderful BOTSWANA. Viva BOTSWANA! God bless BOTSWANA, you welocome and feed the hungry and NEVER brag about it! God bless the GIANT BOTSWANA!
Silver Star is great! That shop that sells musical instruments and all other equipment relating to public address systems and the likes.. Zimbabweans are a great aid to the economy of Botswana, jobs are getting done because of them, They are very hard working people and sweat till they get their work done.
these are all lies!! botwana is just as bad as south africa, the only diffrence is there are no guns.these people are rude, uneducated and lazy. lived there for a year and i HATE botswana as most zims do!!
This is another excellent report by Eugene Ulman, he worked for SBS in Sydney, Australia, before he moved to UK. Aljazeera shows insight in programming him. Thank you.
What a wonderful & shining example Botswana is for the whole of Africa and the rest of the world. The refugees are desparate and seeking any kind of employment and they have been treated as brothers and sisters!
Im namibian and if there is a country i admire the most in africa it is botswana!!man i have bostwanian friends here and they are honest cool people unlike most of the racist SA assholes!!
It's comforting to know that ordinary Zimbos have some help from an African neighbour. I hope, as it appears here, that they are also starting to benifit the area. After all if Zimbabweans are starting to establish their own businesses or help expand businesses, then instead of depriving Tswanas of work they might start to create it. After all the diamonds are running out, the economy needs to look to other areas + skills, Zimbos might help here.
Botswana is a compassionate caring, tolerant, friendly nation of peace, I am proud to be a motswana, let us stand up work together and change the image of Africa, united we stand..i love Botswana..
allowing this large inflow of the shonas, botswana have signed their death certificate

Both the Botswanans and the Zimbabweans are to be respected for their efforts together.
They both are an example of tolerance and compassion for those that would have it otherwise.
Blessings
