It has always seemed to me, a warrior caste cannot maintain their warrior ethic w/o a caste of workers to do the actual work needed to maintain those warriors in their positions. It has always seemed to be interesting to me for Star Trek to explore what culture might exist amongst the non-warrior Klingons. Perhaps something that radically contradicts & disparages that warriot ethic. Might have been worth a few shows. Won't happen now I guess.
@VictorLepanto That's what the citizens of the catured worlds of the empire are for
Anyway - whilst all Klingons shown are trained warriors, they do other jobs too. Remember the ep with the Klingons farming? Worf's complaint is that they're using a spear, not that they're farming.
@Redlehk: Do you remember the episode from the 1st year of TNG, where Warf helps rescue a group of reactionary, rebel Klingons. When Warf tells them that he was raised on a farming colony, they are disgusted. A warrior class always holds the peasant or laborer or artisan class in contempt. There must be Klingons who fulfilled this social role. What did they think of this warrior ethic? It would have made some interesting episodes anyway.

Qapla, indeed!
It's so sucky that DS9 had to screw up, and make Gowron a bad guy. He was... A KLINGON!! A warrior!
Fight Well In Sto'Vo'Kor, Gowron.
