As a performer I need to get into this lip-synch discussion . I've reviewed the different versions n I DO think some lip-synching is occurring. Sometimes what we did was turn off mikes but the person still sang, thus the audience thought the performance was live. The other detail u can check is watching How the singer is supporting notes....I only see the female using full breath support. Chris isn't ...he should b with high notes. =^..^=

Chris sounds way better live than in studio recordings. I think he has improved a lot w/ all the singing on Glee (maybe even had some professional coaching right in the studio). I really wish he can re-record this song. His voice is so stunning w/ a crystalline quality to it. Love love the song. Lea is great as usual of course.

I know everyone says that he is lip syncing in this but i have listened to the recorded version compared to this and there are slight differences.. not huge, but they are definitely there. We really have no way of proving it either way, so everyone needs to stop stating things that you have no evidence of. He is an amazing singer either way (watch his audition tape of Mr Cellophane). Do you want to know why his voice sounds the same as the recording? It's not because he's lip syncing. It's because Lea, unlike Chris, needed her recording to be autotuned. I'm not trying to say the Lea has a bad voice, maybe her recording wasn't autotuned and she just is out of breath from singing all night and can't hit all the notes. Chris doesn't sing lead very much so he could be more rested thus he wasn't breathing heavily or making mistakes. AND THOSE PANTS ;)

Looking from the good side, their voice did not synchronize means that they are actually singing real, some singers just let the music play and pretend to sing in concerts.

He's NOT lipsyncing, or how it is spelled! You can see when he takes breaths to sing, and you can hear that he is singing in the microphone :O He's just so totally amazing, that's why he sounds so good. And maybe Lea was more nervous than Chris was, maybe that's because she needs to take harder breaths. I sing too, so I know how it sounds when you do it live. Don't say so awful things about Chris, he deserves better :(

If he was lip syncing he wouldn't have started the last notes before Lea now would he, if you concentrated more on the singing than movements of his lips you might have noticed that.

He is definitely NOT lipsyncing. None of them are and you can tell by how atrocious Cory sounds. Chris and the rest of the cast sound great but Cory sounds terrible. It's a shame that you won't give a guy his due just cause he's gay. You suck.

@CratessetarC I agree with you that i believe that he is singing, and i have argued with people about it enough so i am done now but i really dont think that people are saying it because he is gay.. I get where your coming from and everything, but it is really hard to tell simply because he does sound so good. There is no way for any of us to prove whether he is really singing or not so we can all have our own opinions on it and just agree to disagree.

I know everyone says that he is lip syncing in this but i have listened to the recorded version compared to this and there are slight differences.. not huge, but they are definitely there. We really have no way of proving it either way, so everyone needs to stop stating things that you have no evidence of. He is an amazing singer either way (watch his audition tape of Mr Cellophane). I encourage others to listen to the recorded version compared to this and tell me what you think about it..

Do you want to know why his voice sounds the same as the recording? It's not because he's lip syncing. It's because Lea, unlike Chris, needed her recording to be autotuned. I'm not trying to say the Lea has a bad voice, maybe her recording wasn't autotuned and she just is out of breath from singing all night and can't hit all the notes. Chris doesn't sing lead very much so he could be more rested thus he wasn't breathing heavily or making mistakes. AND THOSE PANTS ;)

@kurtsie527 wtf, they're all auto-tuned. I would even argue that Chris is one of the ones auto-tuned the most to take out the shrillness of his high notes. You've obviously never sung a day in your life if that argument actually makes sense to you. If you're not breathing heavily, you're not singing properly. Or at all. Chris was lip-synching. That is a fact. Admitting it won't make him any less deserving of your admiration.

for everyone that thinks chris is lip syncing just watch his audition for the show.. he is an amazing vocalist and yes there is a possibility that he is, give him the benefit of the doubt because there are some people that just sound that good. Him singing "Mr. Cellophane" makes me believe that this is live.

He's NOT lipsyncing, or how it is spelled! You can see when he takes breaths to sing, and you can hear that he is singing in the microphone :O He's just so totally amazing, that's why he sounds so good. And maybe Lea was more nervous than Chris was, maybe that's because she needs to take harder breaths. I sing too, so I know how it sounds when you do it live. Don't say so awful things about Chris, he deserves better :(

Just compare Lea singing this song entirely live in Phoenix with other cities where she lip synced the last part. Also, she only sang Faithfully live in Phoenix, but when it got to 4 or 5 shows in 3 days she had to lip sync on that song to preserve her voice because she sang so much. Don't fool yourself :) And Chris is still awesome.
