Here's a fact from the USGS website. When the perigree started, earthquake activity increased including places none had ocurred for quite some time, such as MidWest USA around Missisipi etc. Since the perigree has weakened there has been LESS earthquakes around the world (except Japan). Less because the influences of the moon?

@daggyz1959 the reason that the NMSZ has had more activity? It's been disturbed more by human activity, which is actually better because it releases pressure.
