  • Wow these niggers are HARD. tru thug niggers.....

  • Let me tell you what the problem is here....

Why do African artists style themselves on America?

They look the same, they move and dance the same, the video's are the same, and they all wear the same ugly clothes and cheap jewellery - and the women are used as sex objects.

It really is time for ALL African artists to show pride for the amazing continent and to develop their own natural African style.

Adopting American style is just another form of slavery - except this time its musical.

    Sad...

  • Arabic is not their first language, right?

  • @gorogawa im white and speak arabic. my two best friends are sundanese they're muslim so they're first language is arabic, im not sure if that is the same as these guys

  • @kobedunks8 Well, I guess they are from the southern region of Sudan, where Arabic is not the first language for most people.

  • Comment removed

  • @gorogawa yeah i can pick up what they're saying quite alright so for a second language they do well. Then again if they are muslim they would more than likley be speeking arabic aswell, like they have two first languages rather than a 1st and 2nd.

the "kuran" is in arabic and cannot be translated

  • @kobedunks8 I don't get this. Why do you keep linking Arabic to Islam? I'm Arab and a Muslim but not all Arabs are Muslims. In fact, the majority of people in the southern part of Sudan are not Muslims. Also, most of my Muslim brothers and sister around the world don't speak Arabic. They might be able to read the Qur'an but they don't understand it. The guys in this video speak Arabic awfully bad, that's what I was trying to say. :)

    God bless.

  • @gorogawa yeah real sorry for trying to help you man :)

  • @kobedunks8 Dude, sorry if I sounded mean. Maybe I wasn't being clear that I'm actually an Arab that's why I didn't want to bother a non-Arab with a very specific dialect-related question. sorry again.

  • @Svittidiu GTFO AND SHUT UP

IM SURE U CANT SING BETTER

    FAIL...

  • im not sudanese but I like the vid but you should incorporate your own culture into hip hop rather than styling yourself as american...but great job

  • this is a bangin beat, but please be original with the video. You do not need to emulate today's hiphop artists to be successful. Show something different. Otherwise, good job.

  • AshieBone...Thank you for your correction to that dumb ass EneWan comment by calling me an ignorant dummy..there is a different between Arabs and Arabic and that dogfucker don't understand it..

  • The most ignorant people on this so called earth (South Sudan). These people are narrow minded and the iq level of your people must below anyone else. Eritrean people have made Juba and how do u repay us back, with violence daily. If every Eritrean leaves Juba you cowards will go back to wearing no clothes. P.S. jus remember we helped get your freedom and lost so many brothers for your cause and the only reason we allow u to get away with it is the fact we realize violence bring notta

  • @tafla1983 you need help n fast.

  • Comment removed

  • @tafla1983 fuck u just chill they are making their music it might not be good but don't hate because you cant do that what are you Eritrean maybe Eritreans have low iq's

  • @wayne3r first and foremost you ugly motherfuckers we are way better looking then you. I think our shit looks better looking then you. And if you read between the lines this was never about this stupid song, this was about ignorance. However I have just realized that talking to u actually downgrades my social and any other apect of my life. So fuck u and ur rasty country and ur people. My people are smarter, breaver.....

  • perfect shiiit right there .. huh love it man keep it up..de yao kalem

  • poor motherfucken cheap blackasses

  • The song is quiet good, but the dressing is not so good. WIsh they were dressed in all traditional African dresss.

  • to be honest... this is a DISCRACE TO SUDAN

  • @abz7595 lol

  • This music is really good and the group are talented.

The problem is..... Why do African artists style themselves on USA artists?

They look the same, they move and dance the same, the video's are the same, and they all wear the same ugly clothes and cheap jewellery.

It really is time for ALL African artists to show pride for the amazing continent and to develop their own natural African style.

Adopting American style is just another form of slavery - except this time its musical.

    Sad...

  • @throbule What you refer to has nothing to do wit music... You wouldn't have said that with no video...

Plus the problem also exists in the rest of the world, where rappers mostly wear baggy and such (take a look at Shakkazombie from Japan or Booba from France, for example)... It also exists out of the rapping world: most other singers wear occidental clothes, except for traditionnal singers... Heck, most people in the world right now are probably wearing a simple occidental shirt or T-shirt

  • @breyzh2jahkady:

You may not be stupid, but you know nothing of the music business.

I am in the music business and I travel in Europe, America and Africa looking for new talent, so I know what I am talking about.

Most companies I work with, refuse guys who look like this - they want originality, both musically and in clothes style.

There are thousands of young guys who all look the same, and that is the death of their hopes.

The world of music has moved on from this stupid American image.

  • @throbule You're prolly right (and I would like you to assume that I'm not stupid)

Still, there are a lot of well-known artists dressed like that who are not original in any kind of way and make money... That's not the way to go 'tho.

My 1st argument isnt about can they or can't they succeed in music business.

What I'm wondering (and since you know Africa better than me you prolly can answer me): is/are there any African way to dress that is neither traditional nor occidental?

  • @breyzh2jahkady:

I did'nt mean to offend you, and you're right - there are many top artists dressed the same, but you will find that none of them are African.

Have you ever seen Youssou N'dour? He is now Africa's biggest star and a multi millionaire, and he has never dressed in those clown American styles.

There are also many very successful African hip hop groups who dress in their own style - Daara J, for example.

Rap clothes are a transient fashion - true artists have style that is eternal.

  • @throbule Because dressing in traditionnal african clothes is probably not the way to go either.

I was having the same argument with a friend about Korean pop singers, who dress very occidental, and wondering if there was any non-traditional non-occidental way to dress. A local fashion that isnt too much influenced by occidentala nd that is new, non-traditionnal.

Do you know if this exists in some parts of Africa? I^m curious

  • @breyzh2jahkady:

Thats a difficult question. Africa is the second biggest continent a huge range of clothes.

Look outside hip hop, and you will see a vast range of styles sported by musicians, whereas Hip Hop is stuck in a narrow limited image which fundamentally is fake, but sells music to kids.

Most originally artists take a bit of this, and a bit of that, and put together a style that is unique both to themselves and their music.

Hip Hop follows a code that is safe, predictable and boring.

  • @throbule

allright, got it... And I agree, Hip-hop can be very caricatural...

of course I know Youssou N'Dour, but he usually dresses very traditionnal...

say, dude, Daara J (thanks for the tip, it's pretty cool) and Youssou N'Dour are both french-speaking, do you speak french?

it would make the conversation much easier for me ;)

  • @throbule btw, since you're in the business, could you give me some names for good african music? Any styles, I just like diversity and I'm curious, but when I search, i found mostly traditionnal or RnB-like.

Answer me on this threat or PM me please

    Thx

  • @throbule So the thing is: if they don't have a proper cultural style for their cloth (i.e. Asian or African fashion not imported from Europe/US), the only thing they can do is dress up, because they probably look just like in the video in everyday life...

  • @breyzh2jahkady:

No matter what you say, they look completely ridiculous, and they make a mockery of their African heritage, their parents and their country by dressing in the uniform of cheap american gangsters (which is what their clothes are).

There is nothing to denote their original African culture, and by copying the USA, they will get nowhere in Africa and Americans certainly don't want this either, so they are lost both musically and culturally.

    That is my point.

  • this actually sounds pretty good, did u make the beat urself guys? tho wearing no shirts was a tad gay and tryhard.
