  • how heavy rods do you use

  • I've been fishing the Northstar for over ten years and never had a problem. The Captain and mates are freindly and try to make sure we catch fish. Should never judge a fishing vessel on one trip. It's a fishing boat, not a luxury hotel.

  • do you guys use green crabs for bait?when i fish in rhode island ive found that to be the best bait.

  • @cuff1957 that's what i've used for tautog when fishing onshore, it's the only thing i can catch them on

  • My great uncle caught that pending world record tautog. That thing was huge

  • what were u using?

  • these people have no idea what there talking about yeah the northstar is the worst party yeah right give me a break thats why we have the world record blackfish

  • 10 pounders and up

  • one of the best boats and capt. around for tog in capemay is the (stanley rose)... man we killed them all keepers 2 each man limited out... 6 men charter

  • nice boat from this video keep up the good work

  • I think with types of fishing trips is you have to make due with the type of fishing you get and I believe that to me I'm not much of a party boat fisherman I like freshwater for smallmouth bass but I am going out on ocean explorer for taug and I would like to go to your boats website for mabye out of here also

  • What month, and how big was that tautog at 5:10

  • Did you eat the tautog?

  • No offense, but the North Star is one of the worst party boats I've been on. Went seabass fishing a couple of summers ago while on vacation in OC. The boat smelled of rotting bait when we were leaving the dock and was pretty dirty. The bait supplied was brown squid, not white squid which is far better for bait. The maits were a couple of college kids on summer break that didn't seem to know or care much about fishing. Go to Delaware Bay, LBI or Cape may for a better head boat.

  • Sorry you had a bad experience and I'm not offended. You obviously haven't fished on their new boat or fished for Tautog with them. I mainly fish on head boats during the cold months and the Northstar is one of the best Tautog boats around. I have a couple boats and I still enjoy jumping on their boat and letting someone else anchor while I sit inside drinking warm coffee and eating a hogie.

    Captn Sean

  • @WavesAndFish There new boat isnt great. It smells like shit (not being rude), but it literally smells like that work right next door to them. The call the police and coast guard on me stating " Rammed the bow of my ship"....Horrible service according to the customers that come off. But nice tog by the way!

  • @Cedrusdeodara i actually like to disagree with you when i was younger my father and i used to go on their jumbo seabass trips and they gave us fresh clam and we packed out a 150 size cooler almost everytime we went.

  • ahh...ya did get a couple nice ones in there...and the jamaica boats are located in breille NJ....its in the north

  • I work with some fishing writers in the area. Maybe we can get a story on the Jamaica soon. Let me know when you're headed out.

  • im goin out november 4th for a seabass marathon.

  • I'll talk to Nick and see if he's available. Sundays are good for me.

  • go fishing on the jamaica 2 or the 125" jamaica...Great fishing...the fish are big and the captain defenatly find the fish.....You wont be catchin blackfish that little like in yer vid on the jamaica

  • Lol, I have fished on the Jamaica and I did have a great time. We fished offshore for Cod, Pollack, and Ling. It was August and we mugged 'em. I've heard nothing but good things about the Captain!

  • Jerk offs

  • nice catch and nice boat =)

  • nice catch

  • what a bunch of jerkoffs...i fished this boat for fluke and the crew as well as the boat are gross and dirty.....and they jerked us off as far as fishing goes...

  • that certainly brought back some memories, i live in california now, but i miss the back bay and offshore wreck fishing out there in Jersey. Try asking someone out here what a tog is.

  • neat video but i've never gone toggin before

  • We fished on a reef about four miles offshore of Ocean City, NJ

  • was that in the bay or ocean?
