i feel pity for Phili the 2nd, he appears like a shawdow compared to Alexander's glory. I would dare say that Philip may approve of Alexander's spreeding their culture, but Alexander did it only for glory Philip would have done it for his Country. @Linnets when i saw this i was thiking the same thing, It was like nobody dreamed or had the same desire, that must have been Alexander worst day in his life, but he got what he wanted, and that is live for ever. Colin actually did a good job in some scenes like in this one.

I didn't know until I bought the "Director's Cut" that Colin Farrell had fractured his right ankel and wrist the day before and didn't have the fractures set until he heard from Stone the scenes were ok. Like the old stage axium the show must go on. So near the end of the shoot, the money men must have been pulling their hair out. Colin toughed it out, tho, and went back to the hospital and had the fractures casted. Quite remarkable so committed

I think Colin Farell did a great job in this film. I think some ppl expect too much but dont forget he is only Human (Alexander & Colin Farrell) and u cant protray pp 100%. U are portraying a character which lived thousand years ago. I cud not see anything where Colin Farell cud have differently. He also lookes like Alexander from what we seen of Alexander's statues & pics. Well done Colin!. U make Irish people proud!!!!....

@easynowww he's close enough, he did a great job, it was an under appreciated film but history will vindicate it. The hellenistic world really came alive in this film, the use of accents like irish/english was a good way to show how ancient greece also had different accents.
