I saw these things 6 times over the last 2 years- very bright 'balls of fire' as I called it, orangy-red, like plasma. Strange that there is no official explanation to this phenomena- I did not find any on the net while so many people witnessed that. I tried to be sensible but it cannot be any sort of technology known to us. No way they can be chinese lanterns!!!
Today, I also saw this with two friends. A total of 6 in a row. they were flying about same distance from eachother, but not really on the same height as each other. They were flying at the same speed and were too low to keep tracking because I live in a town with rather high houses. It was on march 12th, 2011 at 19.39 GMT+1 in Heerenveen, the Netherlands (one hour ago on the time of writing).

there is a lamp...or how say fyldecoastranger "chinese lanterns"...couse movement is from one side to another on the bottom, and part of the mover arrives, it is because the bottom is heavier .... also see the movement of fire

The very next night the most severe lightning storm I've ever encountered took place in the same exact area. Lighting strikes every 5 seconds.

Near the end of 2008, I saw two orange lights high in the sky next to a very bright star NW, not moving, 10 secs later the light to the left suddenly moved higher and did a 90% turn to the right and then a couple a secs later disappeared, 5secs after, the other did almost the same move but turned 90% left slightly below the first light and that disappeared. Derby UK, we saw 3 red stars moving silently/quickly across the sky followed by a 4th one 30 seconds later. They just vanished. I went on my iphone/found the most genuine looking site for reporting this stuff and did so. People I mentioned it to said it was planes/satelites. It certainly wasn't planes, they're obvious and I woudn't think in formation. They seemed a far away (miles) as well as moving off so fast (i.e. not constant speed). I have since read about other sightings same night in the midlands. I wonder if there is a lot more going on and there's more to this but it's all covered up no doubt (weather baloons!)

I just happened to see one of them (so bright) as I drove home in between the gap between 2 houses and thought it was Mars as I hear that's red in the sky. Then when I was on my drive and the security light went off I saw what I put above. Since then (last week which is why I'm back on there) a chap at work was telling the admin girls about the exact same thing although he saw them for a lot longer. Have you read about Mars being as big as the moon with 75x magnification on August 28th this yr?
yea i have to say that was pretty fake if you watch the video close cuz it's dark you cant see the house in front and when it comes lower it actually reflects off of the house not behind it like it would if it was in the sky you have to watch but it reflects right off the roof you can tell its a light show nice try tho!!

Approximately 2 weeks ago, at around 6pm In Atherton, Greater Manchester, I witnessed a bright glowing orange orb flying over the rooftops, just below the clouds. It was heading towards Westhoughton and since reading your posts I have checked the map to note that Horwich and then Leyland is in that direction. Just a coincideence perhaps?! I'm just sorry I didn't note the date or better still captured some footage of this peculiar sighting. Sorry Folks!

Many people saw objects like this around 21:00 hrs New years eve.
My family and I stood in the street and watched a host of them zooming about in the sky.
Later we heard that people in a nearby town had seen them also. They are not street lights.
