I wouldn't consider Randy to have a walk in the the park against Coleman. Sure Randy's more skilled, and has better cardio. However, fom hi reent fights, Randy has shown that he can't take punishment and hard shots anymore. He's got a glass jaw. Coleman's cardio is always in question, not the greatest. However, if U watch the Shogun fight, Coleman can still take punishment better than Randy. My prediction is Randy by split decision.
The Randy vs Brock fight is a terrible argument for Randy's power as a wrestling specific fighter. Brock was still very inexperienced against good wrestlers in the octagon. Brock would handily toss him around now.
Coleman is going to beat Randy with wrestling and ground and pound in the first and third round. The second he will take off to rest.

Brock Lesnar was able to do it to Frank MIr in their 2nd match. As long as a fighter understands submission defense and can use his power and strength, even a BJJ expert can be ground and pounded. Brock's an exception due to his atheticism and super human strength. but it can be done.also depends if the BJJ expert can take a shot or not. Several factors to be considered.
Against his 2nd fight with Shogun Coleman doesn't get much credit. He was comming off a 2 year layoff, no training camp. I don't buy the argument that Shogun was gassed because of his injury. Let's face it Coleman repeatedly took Shogun down, controled him on the ground, and made Shogun work. COleman's stye of being on top, using his 220 pound frame worked Shogun, which is why he was gassed out. Shogun just was at a strength disadvantage. Still impressive for his age.
Coleman will always be a threat to anyone he faces his takedowns are still effective he took Shogun down at will and with some cardio his ground and pound could be like it was in 1996 when he was probably the most feared heavyweight in MMA it takes a man to step into the cage no matter what age but to be 45+ years old takes a real athlete with real heart Marc Coleman deserves respect no matter what

No matter how washed up a has been is, they made the sport what it is now. These poor guys were out there fighting bare knuckle, with pretty much no rules. They got beat the hell up fighting sometimes twice a day and all these rules we have now are enforced because of their suffering. Yeah they were on pain killers or steroids but a lot of them had to be because the rules and pay sucked tremendously. The UFC sadly is now just a job, back then it was a human experiment.

Roids dosent just make you stronger it helps you recover from injuries also.It feels your joints with water so it dose help if your fighting at the pace that they did.

Coleman wAS A BEAST wHEN he was in his fighter prime...too bad he has fallen off in his last fight..But he looked great in the Bonnar fight at UFC 100,and is still an all-time legend...Even Fedor respected him and called him a Great Fighter & Legend...Coleman means as much to early MMA as Couture to today's UFC !

my opinion is mark coleman is a legend and got the concept of how well "Wrestlers" do in mma, but to be honest hes always looked stiff with his striking and has been submitted time and time again he just never evolved like couture, it seems like alot of the Hammerhouse guys are the same and just rely on wrestling

I wouldn't consider Randy to have a walk in the the park against Coleman. Sure Randy's more skilled, and has better cardio. However, fom hi reent fights, Randy has shown that he can't take punishment and hard shots anymore. He's got a glass jaw. Coleman's cardio is always in question, not the greatest. However, if U watch the Shogun fight, Coleman can still take punishment better than Randy. My prediction is Randy by split decision.

The Randy vs Brock fight is a terrible argument for Randy's power as a wrestling specific fighter. Brock was still very inexperienced against good wrestlers in the octagon. Brock would handily toss him around now.
Coleman is going to beat Randy with wrestling and ground and pound in the first and third round. The second he will take off to rest.

well if you see the fight closely, yes brock dis over power randy due to his size and strength advantage.....randy did control brock a lot on the fence but having said that, Randy is 44 years old so his wrestling Strength and MMA Conditioning isnt at his prime anymore.
On the other Hand....brock is at his all time prime right now so his strength and level of mma is at his all time high.

Brock Lesnar was able to do it to Frank MIr in their 2nd match. As long as a fighter understands submission defense and can use his power and strength, even a BJJ expert can be ground and pounded. Brock's an exception due to his atheticism and super human strength. but it can be done.also depends if the BJJ expert can take a shot or not. Several factors to be considered.

Against his 2nd fight with Shogun Coleman doesn't get much credit. He was comming off a 2 year layoff, no training camp. I don't buy the argument that Shogun was gassed because of his injury. Let's face it Coleman repeatedly took Shogun down, controled him on the ground, and made Shogun work. COleman's stye of being on top, using his 220 pound frame worked Shogun, which is why he was gassed out. Shogun just was at a strength disadvantage. Still impressive for his age.
