But you're right. I personally prefer Maki, and I think they were better off with her. However, you're right. HALCA tried, and you have to give her credit for that.

It really is unfortunate that people can't be more open minded. They're so resistant to change. Look at Nightwish and the continued whining about Anette not being Tarja, even 5 years after she got the boot. I really hope there will come a day where humanity will be more accepting of difference and change.
One of my absolute favorite Japanese bands, and in truth Swamp Man is my favorite album by them. It has an edge to it that pre-Halca H&MC lacks. They'll deeply be missed.
Not that I hate Halca... she has her won strengths and style... but after listening to H&MC for so long, the H&MC without Makii doesn't seem like it at all. I'm a bit glad that they decided to disband, because even if they continued on, they would forever be that "oh, it's Halca, not Makii. It's not the same anymore" feeling, and I don't want to drown Halca with the shadow of Makii. But this was a great song, and I enjoyed it.
@stoprainlty I agree completely. It's too difficult to fill in someone's shoes. They should have just disbanded and reformed as a new band with a new name. Halca is an amazing singer who has a lot of talent, and she should be recognized for her talent, and not for being Maki's replacement. I love High and Mighty Color, and Maki did solidify their style, so having a replacement does inevitably change the whole band's demeanor. Just my opinion though ^_^
