  • hey is this also called drunken monkey?

  • @bullshark67ify Drunken Monkey is an offshoot of Zui Quan.

  • official fighting style of tailgaters at mma fights drinking bud light

  • the best of best kung fu toah

  • cant just that monk go crazy and beat someone from the audience ???

  • It's Impossible to describe the feeling of seeing someone who spent a majority of their life excelling in something they believe in like martial arts so I guess it's a perspective thing??!!

  • Ummmm... To ALL those who disagreed with my comments - to each his own. Just wonder what the greats like Bruce Lee and others would think about MMA nowadays??? btw: Cagefighting was Gladiators in ancient Rome: one man, NO rules. Guess ppl don't understand I enjoy both traditional martial arts and MMA so they seem to think I am a hater in sum odd way which I am not.

  • WTF?!?that he drink vodka ?!because its look like he his :)>

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk PEIXE FORA D'GUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • I think after this showcase cameraman who was sitting under umbrella went to drink some=)))

  • 2 word to describe this video clip: Drunk Sponge

  • FooWAH

  • He looked drunk but I feel let down there was no fisting.

  • @MrCatbutt Because The drunken fist is a part of "Snake" Style gong fu, which use now closed fist to resemble a snake wrapping and jabbing its victim..

  • i'd like to invite this guy out for a drink

  • your doing it wrong...

    watch?v=N855paiZhD8

  • 0:46 - "I meant to do that..."

  • @nikodarxp He did, thats an actual formed landing in drunken fist...

  • Pft Jackie Chan could kick his ass in a drunken brawl heh.

  • I want THAT motherfucker in Diablo 3

  • bo rai cho

  • does it count as drunkin fist if he aint really drunk lol :P

  • @f4lcon808 its a martial arts style...

u dont actually get drunk ._.

  • YOU BETTER GO AND GET SOME TIGER PALMS OR BEN GAY ...OUCH TO THAT FALL HE IS DRUNKS HE WILL BE GOING OUCHHHHHH

  • Mortal Kombat

    BO RAI CHO lol

  • @IsItMyTimeNow

Rather Brad Wong (DOA series) or Lel Wulong (Tekken series).

  • Very nice display of body control and some fancy moves but not close to "proper" drunken fist

For one thing he is way to stiff and not at all able to convey the illusion of unsure footing and confused movement require to apply this technique properly.

And on another note, every time he goes for a kick or punch he converts somewhat back into "regular" kung-fu.

So all in all, fancy stuff that takes serious practice to be sure but not at all drunken fist.

  • this is a one of the best arts in the word :)

  • Drunk = Unpredictable

  • I heard of Squirrel, beaver, and muskrat style, but never drunk style!??! How many more animal techniques do I need to learn before learning how to fight? drunk style looks like a good defense against cops. I will have to learn it.

  • 0:53 oh yea !

  • Ok so, YouTube will not let me post a link in this response box, but if you want to see an example of what I am talking about to a search in Youtube for:

    Fighting: Karate vs Drunken fists

You will see what I mean when you what this video. I have never seen anyone effectively pull of drunken style in an MMA full contact position and win.

  • @babygotbackyall Its the fighter, not the style, ive seen the vid ur talking about, and that guy doesnt know shit about drunken fist.

  • @babygotbackyall ok, the guy in that video is not very well trained. I have seen many other people who know drunken fist and are very good with it. It is not the style that is ineffective, it is how the fighter uses it. I do see how you think it is ineffective, but actually, if it is used properly, it is supposed to look ineffective. My friend got a little cocky in what he was learning in his kung fu classes and wanted to fight me. I used drunken fist and I litterally beat him in 3 seconds!

  • HEY. that's wang lu. he's been teaching in california for the past few years.

  • He, he, he Boxeo del Vagabond Borracho :>)

  • I CAN DO THAT IF I'M DRUNK OF TOO MUCH.

  • scuse my spelling but it 4 in the morning here and my ipod is being slow.

  • @Mrmatthewunger it is martail arts, its been ariund for a very long time, i have a second degree black belt in this style it deffenitly is martail arts you dumbass

  • THIS IS NOT MARTIAL ARTS!

  • @MrMatthewUnger aand, whats this then

  • @karagz a show

    not real combatives

    sorry

  • This isn't drunken style, this is bad interpretive dance. He needs to spend some time at the Martha Graham School. Also, due to Asian Flush Reaction common in a large majority of Asians, this man is highly unlikely to be a master of anything while drunk.

  • @babygotbackyall yes it is, are you supposed to be some drunken style master, probably not with a name like yours

  • @babygotbackyall Drunken style is a way of fighting in the drunken state. Forms are also meant to entertain, like a dance. They clapped, so I think he did the form correctly, and also pleased the audience.

  • @babygotbackyall im pretty sure he knows way more than you

  • @HesDaryl @DnbDubJunkie Why as a matter of fact I am a drunken master - I've kicked many an ass while intoxicated. I challenge any of you to drink a 40oz bottle of Jack and try to kick someones ass - anyones ass. I also doubt that any of you guys have even been in a fight. What are my credentials - Black Belt Go Ju Ryu, 10 years Muay Thai, Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - not that high belt ranking is important to fighting skills. Drunken Style is fairly ineffective. I will post a video.

  • @babygotbackyall if you wanna post a video then thats fine

  • whats the big deal with these little yellow men?

  • @chepevargas were not yellow :[]

  • i like the part where he acts drunk

  • but you cant beat the mighty

    *puts on sunglasses*

    BO RAI CHO!!!!

    (PLUS HE PUKES ON YOU!!!!)

LOL JK THIS GUY IS INSANE!!!!

  • That was pretty good.

  • Lol a chaolin in a bar: " Heyy i want a drink !! Ywes" 2 minutes later Wow1

  • @GigaByte0z they dont actually drink....

  • marijuana boxing

  • Yeah uhm this is more on the side of art in martial arts, definitely not martial. You'd have to be drunk to come up with this lol, and you can see why.

  • can anyone tell me if a girl can be a Shaolin worrier also???

  • the ground is soaked, making all of those movements twice as difficult! Hats off to that dude!!

  • @SplitSecondSnarl yup i was thinking the same :D

  • I havn't seen this in a real fight yet, :\

  • redbull gives you wings

  • lol did anyone else hear the kicking power of the first kick #KO

  • i admire the style. but how do they continue to fight when they get hit by the opponent, and impose more pain on themselves by slamming their bodies to the ground?

  • @c159csy357 Its all about deception and putting your opponent off balance. It allows for more chances to attack and defend.

  • I'll buy a round for the temple, please!

  • he should've just drank a real beer then get in a fight

  • What the fuck do they do that on purpose?

  • @mrsubscribe11 yeah, i think its to have the opponent let their guard down, then they strike.

  • @mrsubscribe11 Yes, the style is about making the opponent think you are being defeated, then he lets his guard down and doesn't try as hard as he thinks he has won the fight, then you strike and win.

  • He is getting possessed.

  • If people were actually as graceful drunk...bars would be more interesting.

  • @Scream7277 And drinking would be a lot more fun !!

  • @Scream7277 ninjas are.

  • Quero ver se ele aguenta 30 segundos lutando com um capoeirista.

  • @thiagogracino Shaolin Monks are experts in multiple fighting styles and their physical condition is top notch... a Capoeira faighter would not last longer than 30 seconds against them...

  • @amaurycanales - lololo... You don't really know anything about capoeira regional. And I'm not even going in terms of different styles of capoeira like angola style, jogo de dentro, jogo de fora, Maculelê, Maculelê com facão, Iuna, jogo de navalha no pé, miudinho e Regional de Bimba.

  • @thiagogracino xD LOL... and apparently you don't know what a shaolin monk is, hence, we're even... I Capoeira was as good I'd be better known... as opposed to shaolin monks, which are known to have a physical condition greater than an average human

  • That flying backflop looked painful as hell.

  • @Frostiken doesn't actually its all about technique and muscle built over time :P

  • @Frostiken its most likely more of a pleasure for them :' )

  • @Frostiken thats exactly why only drunken monks fight like this

  • @Frostiken Pfffffffff. shaolin feeling pain.

  • @Frostiken Cept' they feel no pain c:

  • @Frostiken shaolin monks can't feel pain.

  • @Frostiken butterfly kick :P

  • The monk was probably imagining some Hennessy's in his hands.

  • bet it helps you, if your drunk this style would be the only you can do

  • ROCK LE!!! lol

  • i remember when i actually use to think you had to be drunk while doing this style.....but that was before i actually started studying and learning this style

  • seeing how kung fu means "being able to do something" u cant categorise kung fu as a martial art but mostly as a fighting system. still about the drunken stuff, being drunk reduces ur reasoning, meaning u cant use simple attacks, so no chance of using a whole set of movements

  • Do they feel any kind of pain!?

    emotional!!?

    or at least sum physical!?

  • they would be good at limbo

  • wtf is dlunken fish ?

  • the fact he did it in the rain made it even more amazing

  • I think martial arts is a great fighting style, but I have always wondered how it would be to someone who just bum rushed him and not fought at a distance.

  • @EricCris10sen believe me he can kick hi ass at clause distance he have many holding move and plus this is a shaolin kung fu master it mean he can kill you with 2 hit

  • I never heard of Shaolin drunken fist. Its alot more crisp than I would have thought. That dropkick at about 0:48 was pretty sweet.

  • this is to confuse people that you are drunk; that you are off balance and out of sync with your moves. in reality, the moves involve a great understanding of balance to generate the power in awkward positions and an even better sense of timing to execute the attack full power whilst maintaining an air of absolute rat-arsedness

  • @TheMartialartsJedi uhh... A guy at my old Dojang used to do that and Get in tomble for it. I fall into a lot of traps also.

  • I Can see how this can confused the the shit out of someone if they come out a bar other wise it may not work.

  • drunk and pee lol

  • epileptic WIN!

  • guy looks like hes poppin at first

  • i can knock out this guy in 10 seconds wrestling and teakwondo muay thai and boksing are the real deal or mma

  • @poemalocko HA he would move around your punch like a hot wire can move around in butter

  • @poemalocko LOL ...GL...prob. u will lose in 3 seconds ..

  • if you know crane, eagal or snake this style would be much easy to learn

  • the style isnt to actually be drunk, just to pretend that you arent balanced to your opponent. the opponent is going to go for you if he thinks you are not guarding but than bam you dodge and hit.

  • @Pii5t0l thats a child bed time story a street fight get 20 of those drunken freaks let them fight against a boxer with no gloves see who wins

or a muay thai bokser or teakwondoka or wrestler this guy has no chanse

  • @poemalocko That was his kata....

He obviously won't take time if a fight arises to fake a drinking binge. Drunken fighting is used to deceive opponents. I've seen fights with one competitor being of the drunken style; the other fighter's are usually hesitant because you don't know what the hell will happen.

  • I don't think this kid knows what it is to be drunk- not much of a convincing "drunkenness" there, don't you think?

  • Thumbs up if you went to this expecting to see a drunk person doing kung fu, just like jackie chan haha

  • id like to see him fight a big black football player

  • @david7lee7 is that what you are? Tell me would you fight him?

  • I don't understand how people think this is useless in a real fight. YOU DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE TO GET DRUNK. It's all about deception when it comes to this style. It takes years to master all the movements, and it's disrespectful to say it's dumb.

  • it must be so hard to get accepted into a shaolin school you have to be GREAT to get in

  • 2 bottles of wodka and i have the same skills^^

  • @Gigasnake yea right...2 bottlles and u'll be deader than a thanksgiving's turkey lol

  • look at all those krillins!

  • wtf haha he would sure have me goin in a fight

  • damn, i'll have what he's having

  • Vodka-RedBull?

  • this is a performance done by a performer who is very good at performing. Sadly he would not fair that well in a fight with someone who has any idea how to fight real people. I love kung fu. I think its beatiful and strong and full of awesome. However MMA fighters fight people. While i dont think it would be a black and white as people wish, I do think that an MMA fighter has a distinct advantage over a Wu Shu practitioner

  • @Dudeman9339

against Wu Shu for sure, because Wu Shu is just a form. Sure, you learn kicks but those just should look well for movies or presentations. But a MMA fighter doesn't have any chances against a real shaolin monk.

  • @Cornerless you would be quite surprised at how wrong you could be. but until it happens i guess we will never truly know

  • OMG NARUTOOO

  • Drunken fist works well if you do not have an opponent. It is basically a dance.

  • @anotherelvis

not really ô.o If you move like this in a battle, your opponent won't know, when your attack is coming. Drunken Fist is not a "dance" like capoeira. It is like the Monkey Form, hard to learn, but most effectif against other people.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi Eh that really depends on the person, no one persons body reacts exactly the same. I myself have done a bit of informal training in zui chuan, but I wouldn't take it up personally unless you were really commited, as it takes a long time to master. But hey same thing with all actual martial arts, which unfortionately people don't seem to understand that, martial arts isn't some petty 2-3 year training regiment, but something you spend your life mastering.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi no you dont get drunk, but in theory you get better when you're drunk, as you are imitating a drunkard, being actually drunk would make you more relaxed, and softer with your movements. Well thats presuming you trained right, and have some level of alchohol tolerance.

  • this is crap ..bullshit ! MMA dude

  • ill have what he's having :P

  • shaolin will forever pri be unmatched

i mean they train there entire lives

  • Thats really disarming

  • 43black17 if you havent notice gracie came back from retirement and had another match in ufc and got whooped in the first round by matt hughes same weight class look it up even though i like gracie mma has gone a long way since ufc 1-4 it was only that a submissions ware uncommon back then but these days its in most ufc fights

  • heeee is a drunk but he still want drink

  • que no la tecnica del maestro borracho la invento jackie chan..como estilo de lucha no existe...mmmm

  • hit stronger youself on the floor

    jajaja

  • the place there looks so peacful :)

  • @q8wizard GO MONKS :D

  • This style confuses your opponent and distracts their rhythm, and launches unexpected attacks.

  • He's too good....

  • wat the heck is this monk not suppose to learn this kind of kung fu because they cant not drink wine.

  • ha. no. drunken fist is a style that like was meant to trick your opponent,

  • they pretend that they are drunk, they do not actually get drunk

  • you people are pretty stupid. drunken fist is an art that imitates a drunken person to utilize deception and confusing foot and body patterns in order to get an advantage over an opponent, and thank you

    Humanesheild.

  • To all people who think that this style of Martil arts teaches you how to fight drunk, you a bunch of Morons. This style is to imatate a drunk and to decieve the opponent into a false sense of domance.

  • @Humanesheild thank you. somebody that gets it right.

  • @Humanesheild Dude it had to originate frome something, even though most alcho's arnt fit but the person who created it had to be drunk and know alot about kung foo

  • @MrSnicklfritz

That's not necessarily true. The founder of Mantis Style never turned into a praying mantis, the founder of Tiger Style never turned into a tiger. Same with the Drunken Style. Most of the styles of Kung Fu come from watching and mimicking. The founder of Drunken style probably saw a drunk person stumbling around and noticed how unpredictable his movements were and then thought "Hm, I could use this."

  • @Humanesheild actually it imitates a god

  • @Humanesheild And it also "tricks" the opponent, Since you can't predict his moves whenever hes wiggling around cluelessly..

  • @Humanesheild it'd be hella cool if it did though! I'd get hammered every night and pick a fight XD

  • @Humanesheild lmao...i would love to see a useless drunker did the move at 0:16

  • @Humanesheild

    its a style of Wushu

  • @Humanesheild

    Its a form of Wushu

..do you really think some one drunk can have that kind of balance?

  • @Humanesheild

    Thank You!

  • @Humanesheild its not only to immitate. people used to fight drunk in this style as far as im concerned.

  • @Humanesheild still, after training your balance for years practicing this style, i do not doubt that in case you get drunk you can coordinate your movements better than a person not training in this way. that your fighting abilities acually get better when drunk using this style is clearly nonsense, i agree with that.

  • @Humanesheild I doubt anyone things that is what it means.

  • @Humanesheild I still think a knee to the head would work better than this in a fight. - And don't call me a moron, 'cause I know this doesn't teach people to actually fight drunk and all of that you said.

  • isn't this like one of the best martial arts?.. =D you get to fight AND drink at the same time.. =D

  • i'm litlle suprised when i hear about art of ninjitsu,

it's just like you say art of MI6, S.A.S or art of Dealta force ,they were masters of many disciplines and they were spies , kind of special forces in feudal japan

  • I remember when I had my first beer .. lol .. in all honesty if I was to ever fight someone and I saw them do this I would prob get my ass kicked so I wanna learn asap lol

  • you wanna learn drunken fist? no use learning drunken fist... its just a bunch of bullshit... when you are drunk your off balance and your not thinking clearly.. you walk away from a fight when you are drunk because when the police come you are the one that will go to jail for disturbing the peace and public intoxication

  • Drunken fist is more than just learning how to fight while you are drunk...It's a very unique style and can be very deadly. What he just did was a kata.

  • I respectfully disagree .. if you can use this art in a deceitful way to knock out an opponent then why not .. almost the same thing with capoeira .. alot of trickery involved .. its up to the fighter however when to limit these styles and fighting capability .. as far as th epolice and everything goes theyre not there the whole time lol

  • WHY does Everyone compare MMA to purer forms of martial arts?? MMA is a mixture of bits and pieces of various arts - that's it. Anyone who has an intermediate level of skill in martial arts knows that the sickest person in MMA would get hospitalized from 1 kick from a Black Belt in Ninjitsu point blank!!!! More or less an Actual punch. No diss on MMA but watch some of UFCs 1-4. Severn had 60 pounds on Gracie and got owned.

  • @43black17 dude this is the best comment someone could ever make.......cause its sooo true

  • there are no belts in ninjitsu... its the art of the ninja.. and thats it... basically training to become a ninja... modern day ninjitsu is crap anyway even sometimes in japan. Real ninjitsu you had to practice geography, hopping across buildings, climbing, practice of poisons and subtlety, including practice with many weapons which took decades. That is why most ninjas were trained when they were very young (6 to 7) and became a ninja when they were in they're late teens
