@GallardoSpyderV10 you're a fool to say that the japanese doesn't have the soul in making this car. why would they spend 10 years in making this hand made piece of technology and engineering marvel just to make copies of their other production car?
@vitro5 Im surprised people are still looking at my comment. Sweet! Anyhow getting to your comment trust me Japanese cars take the best of whats out their and improve on it but they lack the passion or soul for some reason. It hard to put it in words you just have to try it. The only Japanese cars that I have seen with true passion is the 2012 GTR and the Evolution. But again its in terms of performance. Japanese cars still lack that passion that the others such as the Italians give.
That video is hilarious. Shows perfectly all the unnecessary crap that goes into these photographs. The final product was so Photoshopped that the car and the model could have been shot on different sides of the planet. Unbelievable all bluster that is created for the end clients. The car could have been parked with the wheels turned for the same effect. Jeez. and "The Hard Way"???? Why would anyone spend $400,000 and want to go the hard way?
@GallardoSpyderV10 the boss is the guy who will be able to afford this car...and I'm sure that you want it so much but you can't accept the fact that only 500 will be made. This car is one of a kind.it's different than any mclaren or mercedes. aren't you bored with mercedes? go watch their videos and leave lfa alone!
@lexakis Actually I don't cause I have a McLaren SLR and now waiting for my MP4-12C to arrive. A guy with LF-A raced me thinking he could make the SLR look silly. Turns out he was wrong. I told him to sell it and get a 599 GTO, at least then He'd have a Ferrari. It sounds good but is just an overpriced Japanese car. Better to buy a GT-R than the LF-A for now.
@GallardoSpyderV10 ok because i'm bored of people who think they know something commenting on japanese cars and also bored of german cars i'm saying again...leave the lfa alone and drive your mclaren -merc...the lfa is in a different league whatever u say...and there is no way u can convince me that a german car is better than a japanese! regarding your saying that u own a Mclaren and u raced against a lfa u can't prove it to me so....u had a very nice dream.i'm happy for you!
@lexakis dude Im a car fanatic. And yes i do have an SLR look at my facebook to see it. And yes I raced a LF-A at the Yas Marina Circut in Abu Dhabi, but im sure you think thats a shampoo. Simple fact the SLR is a better car than the LF-A. Im also sure that cause of your prius you think the LF-A is an enginering marvel but thats not the fact. Truth is Japaneses cars hav no soul. There just improved copies of exising cars. Im not saying its a bad car, just overpriced.
@lexakis just think of it logically, how would you feel spending $375,000 on a Lexus. Imagine how you'd feel when a Ferrari 599 or a Lamborghini Lp700-4 plus up to you? Honestly Toyota did good with the V10 derived engine they took from they defunct Formula 1 team but I wish they would have branned it a seperate entity like Chevy does with the Corvette. Plus Mean getting back to the price, it is triple the price of a GT-R but is only slightly faster. So so far the only selling point is........
@lexakis there are 500 worldwide. But thats like buying a limited edtion hamburger. Its great untill you go to a 5 star resturant. Plus the fact that the LF-A has more or less simular specs as the Ferrari or McLaren does not help it much. In the end its just a mighty Toyota. Just so you know the SLR is made in Woking, England not Stuttgart. Only the engine comes from affalterbach. But hey i wish you the best and hope you get an LF-A one day. Then bring it over to Yas Marina for some laps with me
@GallardoSpyderV10 If you can afford one of these, chances are you could buy a Ferrari or Lambo to go along with it anyway. It's not going to be your only car, and you're not going to spend 90% of your wealth on one purchase. Perhaps people don't like Ferraris and Lamborghinis, or perhaps they don't care about bang for your buck. It's their choice. To me, you just sound like the average Top Gear fan, regurgitating Clarkson-isms as if it's your own opinion. And for that, you're an idiot.
@iamthestigsixsixsix Well you sir are an idiot first of all. Now that I have said that i will try to explain the logic behind the method. When you compare the cars in this range chances are you will buy one top range with the others being lower. Ie) You buy a Lamborghini LP-700 with a Ferrari California and a Lexus LX. That we can agree on. Now the chance that the people who are going for the top Ferrari and Lamborghini probably have a 40% chance of even knowing what a LFA is. So chances are....
@iamthestigsixsixsix they wont really care too much for an LFA. If they bought it, chances are they were going for it cause they heard the tech and drive are second to none. But whats the killer is the price. Now logically unless you just wanted to say I have one, why would you pay more for less? That's the LFA, its like a deloren to some extent. It started great, We would build an engine that was based on a retired F1 engine which is cool. We'd make it light and have things for a purpose.......
@iamthestigsixsixsix However this recipe for awesome just turned out to be satisfactory. Its a little too late. Had this car been released in 2002 it would have made since even with its price. But when you say cars like the 458, GTR, ZR1 and GT2 RS can hurt it or somewhat put a dent in then why do I want one? Sure it sounds awesome but that's about it. So years of R and D have been done to make a typical super car. I don't think Toyota wanted that. They wanted to be king but were late bloomers.
@iamthestigsixsixsix my final word on the LFA is I have raced one around Yas Marina circuit against a Ferrari 458, the whole time looking at the LFA, it keeps up but never really gets to a point where it can really take you. That's why I think the LFA is not that great. Anyways I wish you the best and hope one day you will be able to have one. And make sure you enjoy it.
@GallardoSpyderV10 But it still comes down to personal choice, not logic when it comes to buying a supercar. Why do people buy watches that cost a few thousand dollars when they could buy one that costs $20? Why would you pay $10 for a coffee from Starbucks when you could get one for $1 from somewhere else? It might come as a surprise to you, but the average supercar does not drive it anywhere near it's limit, so the best performing supercar is mostly irrelevant.
@GallardoSpyderV10 Lap times? Who gives a fuck? They're only going to show it off at the weekend. And, it might also come as a surprise, but some people just don't want a Ferrari like everyone else. They see the LF-A as a chance to be different, and while the car isn't as good as the equivelant Ferrari and costs more, they don't care. It's why people bought Maybachs too. It's just a stretched S Class, but costs 4x more.
@GallardoSpyderV10 Another question you should ask yourself; why do people buy Ferraris when a 911, GT-R or a ZR1 is faster? Because they can. That is the point I'm trying to make. It's all personal choice when it comes to these things.
@iamthestigsixsixsix but then again you have to ask your self why buy a lexus when I could buy a Ferrari or Lamborghini? thus the LFA is redundant. It is personal but the Lexus is like I said a little too late.
@GallardoSpyderV10 Well, if I was to use your logic, I could quite easily ask why you'd pay 150 grand for a Ferrari if you could get a GT-R for just over half that? Or the equivelant 911 for slightly more than the GT-R? They're just as fast, if not faster, and cost less than the Ferrari and the Lambo, so surely that makes them redundant too? And of course, the GT-R and the 911 are also redundant if you could spend half of that again and get an Ariel Atom. See what I'm getting at?
@GallardoSpyderV10 The fastest car for the price isn't always the best car, it's how it appeals to you, since you're the one that is going to be driving it. Personally I wouldn't buy either a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, I'd buy an SLS, a V8 Vantage or a ZR-1. Sure they're not as fast, but that isn't the point. Hell the V8 Vantage is essentially a baby Aston. But I don't care, I just prefer them. And that is what the people buying LF-A's do too.
@iamthestigsixsixsix with certain cars you can justify that claim. That's why I have the cars I have however the LF-A is one of those that does not apply. It was built to be the best. Perfect in every way, designed to blitz the race track. But unfortunately it does not. People who bought it wanted it because it was billed as a top spec car. Otherwise why would you put the cash on a hyper expensive Lexus? Ive talked to some people who have bought the LFA and the answer was pretty much generic...
@iamthestigsixsixsix "its faster than most supercars". I agree with you having driven the SLS and Vantage that those regardless of the performance that are just a laugh to drive. But the LFA just isn't. Its a car that was born too late in the world. An i do agree with you that the fastest is not always the best but when its a company trying to prove itself in a new market, it better be like a Ford GT, Nissan GT-R or a Porsche 911 and put the hurt on the competition.
