I don't think they did this for more money. A whole lot of people LOVE POTC. Johnny Depp said he would love to stick around & be Jack Sparrow for 5 or 6more POTC's because he enjoys being Jack Sparrow. As far as the mermaids go, they did play a role in pirate legends, if I'm not mistaken. Orlando & Keira said they didn't want to do it anymore, that's why they ended their stories. There's only one thing I wanna know...was Blackbeard 2nd most feared, since Davy Jones was the first "Hot Shot"?
