  • This router is junk last D-link I ever buy. They really failed to deliver things promised on the box. TOTAL FAIL!!

  • This router SUCKS! I've tried to play black ops online on my ps3 and it SUCKS! Wasted $100 on this thing. DONT GET THIS ROUTER!

  • @XDiGiTaLMeDiA ARe u serious? Cause I've been looking at a lot of reviews on this router and there all excellent. I mean this router is considered to be the best router for online gaming o.0

  • What is the hardware revision and does that shareport really work? I have been unable to get the shareport to do anything on my dir655!!

  • @carlje54 The shareport is kind of bunk. The router is fine, but that USB thing is only good for a printer, not a hard drive.

  • Can I use it as a bridge/repeater?

  • I got the router based on your review, will be hooking up external HD to backup as you have done, thanks.

  • @gychang00 Good luck

  • Anybody that has this router got ripped off! The middle antenna does not work! Take it off and put it away! I tested the RF emission test to only find out that the middle antenna does not work! Fuck D-link!

  • @thecanadianhacker you realise the third antenna is only there as a backup incase one breaks...

  • @EdgeyForSure No they are all "usable" antenna!

  • Disconnect the left and right antennas and walk around your house using Net stumbler to monitor the RSSI graph guranteed you will only pick up the weak signal from the internal antenna thats on the board to prevent damage to the transmitter. Connect the left antenna and follow the same procedure. You should get a strong signal. Connect the right antenna and again you should get a much stronger signal. I don't know what the fuck D-link is doing but they are garbage!

  • thanks for the review, thumbs up

  • I'm looking to replace my Netgear Dgnd gateway, Would this be a better upgrade with better range?

  • great review, does it have great range as my buffalo wireless nfiniti router doesn't have great range and i want to upgrade to a better model

  • @richmeister4eva The range is pretty good. I have it in my basement and I'm on the 2nd floor and I never have a problem. It's far better than my old one.

  • would it sustain a 30mb connection or would there be a drop in speeds and if there is would it be nominal or substantial

  • @richmeister4eva has up to 300 mbps

  • i have the same shitty bilken router and it's dropping my connect too i'm getting the D link for sure
