Overall, if your not a die hard wolverine/marvel fan, you'll probably enjoy this, though it is very predictable. Especially, the ending. You'd have to be blind not to see that coming.

This is before he joins the X-men and the anime is pretty good! They really show how fierce Wolverine is when he fights. The story of wolverine and mariko is true because his wife was a japanese woman and he also has a son with her.

1. No. this is NOT before he became X-men.

2. you are confusing storylines. Yes he had a son, Daken, with a Japanese woman but that was during his FIRST stay in japan. This is another time he is in japan, from Christ Claremont's and F.Miller's "Wolverine" miniseries released back in 80's

both the first wolverine and first iron man trailers were a "proof of concept" so to say. Bassically madhouse was asked to provide an animation example of both franchises with no connection to possible plot or something.

looks pretty good, hope Marvel gets around to releasing Iron Man & Wolverine animes in the states on DVD/BD sometime this year. (Hopefully with a good english track, because it would just be weird to watch a show based on U.S. heros without an english dub, lol.)

@Legionfan454 though i would prefer watching it with English Subs cuz if they dub it they will cut some of the scenes were there are tons of blood and mass healing. In the first few second of the first episode they practically blew him away and he just healed more than half of his body and kicked their asses :D

@megadragonblade thats incorrect... it would most likely be a Direct to DVD release, which would be uncut, and 2.. if it did ever air on a basic cable channel like CN/AS, SpikeI doubt it would have much edititng since it would most likely be shown at night anyway. And again, its an anime based on a U.S. Comic, so yea, it just makes sense to dub it, and don't give me that dubs ruin anime sthick, most dubs are decent, and some are pretty darn good,..but yea hope this is on DVD soon.
