  • Morris dancing rules. I wish I could join a side here in the US...

  • this isn't your grandpa's Morris Dancing, bitch!!!!!!!!

  • bahahaha, morris dancers in ghillie suits!!!!!

  • cumbia cienaguera remix?? but why??

  • why whenever english people claim something is our people always set out to prove us wrong? Theres never any facts either just that it was around way before we claimed it ?

  • has anyone seen the the film morris;life with bells on . i'm a morris dancer myself part of the ripley morris men and i can tell u that the film is great it's a must see

  • Nice one in trying to promote a part of British culture. Better that than sitting on your arse doing fuck all except watch DVD's and eating pizza, like so many Brits do.

  • What's the anthem?

  • I take it you are not from the UK and do not understand that this seriouse ritual is not danced to such silly music

  • Sorry I did not think you were from the UK as you do not seem to speak English

  • Haha! you tell him! =)

  • Fuck off, learn some respect, for one I know many and they're certainly not all old men, infact many can be young women!...god youtube is full of dickheads who can't keep their mouth shut when they know absolutely shit all about what they decide to comment about

  • vjfkr...I see from your profile you are from the UK...You should not cast aside your cultural heritage with derogatory remarks..if you do you'll end up in a mongrel society just like America.. be proud of your heritage..it may soon be gone..especially if this government have anything to do with it.. this country is being diluted with foreign blood as it is with all the immigration..your generation will have no culture of it's own if you don't stand up for it..

  • I agree. Zees country is zo diluted vith ze vilth of voriegners zat I am afreed some of zees peoples vill hav to BE EXTERMMINATED! I zuggest zat our zo-called melting pot eleemintate zees foriegn blood. Zen we can create our own society, vith a vatio of one man to ten vomen! I hasten to add that zince each man vill be vequired to do prodigious... service along these lines, ze vomen vill have to be selected for their sexual characteristics vich vill have to be of a highly stimulating nature.

  • Yeah, America sucks!

  • That sounds pretty racist man.

  • @EnglishFolker I certainly agree with you, but I'm American, and we have a heritage just like you...we're not a "mongrel society." And there are people here too that are fighting for our heritage—and the British part of it! Keep your chin up.

  • wots this song called

  • This is cruel and unusual.

  • they int toffs its justa dance which there showin to the crowd

  • You sound like an expert. Where do you do your Irish and Scots trad dancing? Perhaps you do those because when you tried Morris it really was too easy.

And do you know these people to be toffs?

What do you get off on?

  • As a matter of fact I am an expert, I've tried all three and I found Highland dancing the most challenging.

come now its plain to see these guys are full of it.

I get off on knocking arrogant clowns off their high horses.

  • So who's the arroganat one? Your response speaks for itself.

  • Well, this may not work as youtube doesn't seem to like me trying to reply to post but this is directed at roguenun.

    Ahem

hahahahahah, morris dancers are toffs? oh thats a good one. Oddballs, nutters, borderline alcoholics i can understand but toffs?

And have you ever considered that they might be doing this for, you know, fun not to mention the fact its good excercise and a chance to get merrily wankered

  • Dude, you talk sense :)!

  • Of course, you realise most Scottish country dancing has its roots in english folk dance, don't you?

  • lol thats a load of crap, dances like the reel and all that stuff has been going around for hundreds of years all over the world, doesnt mean it came from england, and as for highland dancing thats been a tradition ages, UK media is quick to attribute every bit of culture to england when often it had only the smallest part if any to play in the culture. seriously though its a good thing england is recognising its roots instead of just seing themselves as 'the UK'.

  • @amness1a I'm talking about country dancing, not Highland dancing, or reels, or jigs. Nor am I talking about Morris. And I think the reverse of what you say is true: UK media tend to credit every bit of culture to others. That's why our roots have been often been buried, with "tradition" used to mainly to describe state functions like the Trooping of the Colour, The Lord Mayor's Show etc.

  • Go and do some research. In england we have dancing in Belgium you have a special wedding Hankerchief passed down the generations. Which is, technically speaking more sick?

  • I LOVE it!! Up yours!

  • I HATE THIS SONG!!! ARRRRRGGGGHHHH!
