Tried this last night. This morning the Tube and some droppings were in the bin but no mouse. Either it flew out or they can climb smooth walls?? I'd prefer not to kill them but I can't keep waking up to droppings all over the kitchen work surfaces!
Longer tubes work better, since the centre of mass of the mouse must be considerably farther forward of the pivot point in order to reach the bait than with shorter tubes. Note that this mouse was able to keep his centre of mass behind the pivot point, yet still reach the bait. Also, longer tubes are easier to balance 'just so' on the counter.
u caught 5 mouses? More like u caught the same one. IDIOT. why didnt u just piss in the can and let the mouse drown in ur piss or just let it starve to death in there. ur going to keep getting mouses idiot. mouses have good sense of smell. they can sniff there way out of many places.
use peanut butter w/ parmesan cheese on top as the bait. They like PB but will do anything for the parm.. PB makes the parm stick, so they have to lick and can't make a quick get away.
Just put about 6inches of anti-freeze into the bottom of the bin. it will drown in it and wont smell. so you can just leave it there for like, ages to build up a bunch of em
A friend and I set up several of these traps around our kitchen because we wanted to catch the mouse alive. The mouse evaded every single trap (turns out he was too big). My friends dad awoke to find the house cat staring down the garbage disposal, and he turned it on. Guess what was inside? It looked like a little furry Kurt Cobaine.

Its more inhumane to dump some rat in the middle of nowhere, away from its family, little babies and its current known position for food, than to put it out of its misery towards the lasting days of its life. its a Win Win situation for u and the rat. You have no rat pestering in your office and the rat goes to heaven, The End.
please people, make these devices and stop mousetraps, they suffer with mousetraps they take away the air from the rat and they cant breath and die like that
get longer thing and tape it for about a pound more will make it fall, and then he goes for bait a far way away, and BOOM!!! lol OR:::
OR just lol get a lot of strips, make them securely together to make a tunnel, EXCEPT TWO PEICES ARE NOT TOGETHER!!! point is have bait along the way....and when he goes far enuf he stuk in there!!!
We used to do "catch and release," but the mouse problem never went away. When we started killing them, the problem disappeared fast, and we haven't seen a mouse in 3 years. I don't enjoy it, but they are vermin.
snap ones are the best, death is the quickest way to deal with a whole pack of mice because if the time it takes for u to release the caught ones gives the others more time to breed, so snap ones are the best. humane ones are ok if ur dealing with one mouse
they were all released into nearby woods where they were soon eaten by snakes and domestic animals.... LOL because they were so good livin in the office they don't have there natural defenses
Hey people, TeleKawaru states at the end of the credits that they release the mice in the woods. Owls need to eat too! So, in the end, TeleKawaru is the secondary cause of the rodent's demise/death. Hey, nothing like getting drawn and quartered alive by an Owl. It's better than getting your spine crushed and suffocating to death by a spring wire trap I guess. I KNOW, why not put some water and electrodes in the trashcan??? HEHEHEHE
Yeah, I heard that about the owls-- nasty mofos but the best hunters around. These mice in houses and offices don't have a chance-- they almost never survive more than a couple days when released because they've been lazing around indoors, they're not geared for the outdoors. So the owls pick them off fast-- an easy snack for those birds.
