  • awesome!!! Go for it!

  • Good Luck!!

  • It is a fun concept, witchypoo! I really love seeing what I can make out of "nothing much" like stone soup... what can you mash together to make it work.

  • The mash up has really helped my story grow, and I never would of known about the mash up if I hadn't seen this video so thank you for that. I Have a few mash ups that I am still trying to develop. I have so many twists in my book already and I love it because the mash up has actually set up a few more for me. So I would say that I am in love with the mash up so to speak.

  • I know what you mean, awesomecooldude01... a story can drive you crazy if it is YOURS to write. Go fo it! I always say to myself... what else am I doing with my life that I can't write a good story? Nothing, to me, seems more important!

  • I want to write a series of seven books that I've been thinking about for the past few years. I thought of them when I was 14 and now I really want to do, and the fact I'll go crazy if I don't do them now is another motivation.

  • I do like pirate stories, I like the woman angle as women in legacy, with family history grabs readers. Now, how will you make it totally YOUR own ?

  • You've really confuzed me. Has somebody already came up with something similar? I am trying to get away from this generic pirate idea that only appeals to people under the age of 10. For example, it will be told as if it really happened; it will be historical fiction and not particularly aimed at children. I am trying to aim it at young adults, which is hard seing as I'm only 14 myself.

  • What I mean is, what do you really want to say with your story... stories have deeper meaning, and that angle is what makes it your own... there are few truly new themes or plots, so it's the twists that make them unique. I know you can!

  • Well, if you mean to sat that I my story should have a moral or message, then here it is. Captain Xerces, while training Bianca on the Island, says to her: " you must be confident, yet controlled. Your skills must be refined and your training protracted. Be clever, not aggressive." This becomes her code when her father dies and the moral of the story is: anybody, even a pirate, will be more successful when they choose intelligence over brutish clashes.

  • exactly what I meant! Go for it...write that book!

  • I'm writing a story about pirates. The protagonist is Bianca, the captains daughter, who is forced to grow up when she is made captain herself with her fathers last breath. She has to somehow become fierce enough to hold together the crew, who don't want to be captained by a woman. She must finish everything that her father started, like killing Brugo Gambal and the traitorous Diego Thomas. She also finds out a lot about her past when she finds her grandfather.

Does it sound good? Plz comment.

  • I think it's a great idea horseshoequeen! I think the "ghost" world is a world a LOT of people are interested in. What a great drama to fall in love, then lose right away. I think you are on to something...

  • wow, cool.

im writing a book about a girl who meets a boy but then he suddenly dies.and after a while she starts to see him everywhere as a ghost but nobody beleves her.

im going to call it ocean of memories...

    does it sound good?

    i need opinions and ideas!

    thanx. xx
