@dwarfer777 Didn't you notice the last part of what he said? "It might give you a limp handshake"... The thing is, cracking the knuckles can make the joints looser, so it's not a good idea after all... For the same reason, one should not overdo visits at the chiropractor's... However, it's only a problem if done on a weekly basis or something like that.
@Bloodshotbuddah Hm, I was thinking that John Hodgman would be a good fit. He's a bit dry (which is a hit or miss with crowds), but has a pretty biting intellect. Perhaps David Hyde Pierce or Kelsey Grammar, from the interviews I've seen of them they both appear to carry themselves very well.
Ricky would be pretty good, but I'm having trouble imagining him as a posh host, it'd def. be diff.
All I can say is that I'd hate to be the one to make that choice, so many good people to choose from!
@PhilWithCoffee You are totally on the money with John Hodgman. I was thinking Gervais because he is also a Bristish comedian but John Hodgeman would definitely be a better choice.
The stuff about the Nosebleed was only partially correct..
The bigger worry about the blood leaking back is that it flows into the stomach, which you cannot digest, and can lead to throwing it all up again. The risk of blood running into the lungs is small with a conscious person. An eye-bleed is possible, but not a problem, except maybe disgusting ;)
Swallowing a tongue is not possible, however the danger of the tongue obstructing the airway is not small if the person is genuinely unconscious.
I may be wrong, but is the decoration of the front of the QI desk (0:25 for example) a fibonacci spiral? I can't believe i've just noticed that, if it is.
They use that finger trick in the army to check if the new soldiers did a good job on cleaning the toilets. I'd really like to see their faces when they see that happening XD
@horatio861 Yep: here it is, starting around the 3 minute mark (just posting the end of the URL, because it's not letting me post the whole thing): watch?v=iiqJmieh0DQ

@Bloodshotbuddah Who do you think should host it?

@PhilWithCoffee Ricky Gervais
He may not be as smooth as Fry but I think he would do the job well.

When you crack your knuckles, you're popping bubbles in the fluid of the joints.

waynesayonara, thank you sooo much for posting! Lovely!
Alan Davies told this joke at the end of another episode. And he does NOT look amused at 7.08. A bit funny.

Why did they have to repeat that joke? everyone knew it has already been told by Alan in a previous ep.. Guess they ran out..

I wonder if Bill Bailey really is a Dragonball fan?
RMoribayashi 1 year ago 3
It was probably a writer who put it in the script, seeing as it is quite an old joke.
Alan did tell it better though. :)
