  • how many years have you been scratching man? this stuff makes me want to start scratchin...but i wont out of respect of the fact i would try to immulate your style. and i dont have your speedy fingers. or 10 grand to drop on a set up. or a place to record records on vinyl plus id rather spend my time watching you kill tracks then waste time trying to get as good as you are. godly

  • @boardshop around 5 grand I'm guessing.

  • also how do u scratch and still hgave song continue without being skipped/

  • so how do u scratch is one record exactly the same as the song record or is it a generic beat to scratch ":

  • amazing

  • Crap, your left hand isn't quick enough on the fader or on the record - build the speed in your left hand by wanking with your left hand - if it doesn't feel comfortable put nail varnish on and watch your hand. That'show I learnt to be a left handed ninja.

  • great...

  • @djability: Yeah... it's "The Cipher" feat. Creature, Gudtyme, Kukoo da baga bonez, Pliz & World

  • @xXTapoutManiacXx The X-ecutioners-The Cipher

  • @xXTapoutManiacXx its called the cipher by the x-ecutioners

  • How did you set it up as far as the 303, the mixer and the turntables? Obviously you ran the turntables through the mixer but did you do the same with the 303, or did you run it seperately to the speakers?

  • hi, i plugged the sp into the mixers session input. its like a 3rd line in channel but without fader or gain control. u can also use this to run another dj setup without a master mixer.

  • Awesome, thanks.

  • NICEEEEEEE!!!

  • how long did it take you to dj so well?

  • I have those same slipmats :)

  • nice, old school back to back scratching

  • Dude, that was some of the illest shit i've heard in a while! You got ridiculous mad skills, man.

  • by the way im a dj(partime)

too and i want to challenge you on a battle

    freestyle....ultimate mix

  • hahaha good luck

  • yea man this guy is dope as shit! better hope your good

  • Mad skillz, better than mine haha, ill keep trying

  • what beat sampler is that from 0:58? dope yo

  • hi, i produced it by myself. will upload it on myspace soon! peace

  • @djability when are you going to put it out im still waiting. and also when is the next time you are coming to Albuquerque New Mexico

  • Nice scratching skills, with both hands, but the real hard thing with turntablism is to have it flowing nicely but not just with "aahs" over beats. You have achived it in this routine, but try it without the sampler :) keep it up man

  • why should he try it without the sampler?

  • because you are not supposed to have it, "orthodox" turntablist set up is just 2 ttables and a mixer, thats what they use in DMC battles. Thats what makes scratching a real artform, the ability to make awesome routines with just that. Using a sampler makes it A LOT easier, trust me. It litteraly eliminates the need to mark your records and change them. Check out some DMC routines on youtube, thats what turntablism is about! :)

  • "The difficulty in creativity lies not in coming up with new ideas, but in escaping the old ones"

There is nothing i love to see more than someone performing in an unorthodox way. Hell, use a ukulele!

  • i got the sp 555 ,im trying to get same set up how do i get all three to work with two channel mixer like you?

  • He's Probably got a third Mic/Line channel on the mixer. But if you dont have that 3rd channel you can always plug it into one of the line inputs on the mixer, since most mixers have both phono and line inputs for each channel. Then Just Flip the switch when you need the sampler to play somthing.

  • krass das du auch switch cutten kannst..Respekt

  • schönes ding carnalito!

  • so amazing, scratching with both hands. godly, i saw you on djbattletv a while ago, thanks for being real.

  • Nice work. I also use an Ecler Hak 360 (through Serato) and I'd really like to know how you connect up the sampler as I'm about to buy on. Do you use the 'effect' buttons on the mixer to bring in the sample.

    Thanks.

  • sup yo, thanks for ur comment! the mixer i use is the 310 but the 360 should also have that session input. its like a 3rd line in without any fader. just put it in that channel so u can use ur 2 turntables and the sampler or whatever at the same time. greetz, ability

  • haha sucka dj's sucka dj's damn man,super dope

  • man that is sooooooooo sikk...how long hove you been djing for??

  • what the name of that sample at :59?

  • is there a name for this sample? i dont know, just found it on one of those scratch´n break records..peace

  • okay thanks

  • are you using a scratch n' break album when you scratch?

  • yep, most of these scratchtones i pick from so called scratchtools. i like those skipless tones for practicing and playing live and when i need beats i just use that one i like so it doesnt really matter where it came from. have a look for those scratch loopers on the internet. it´s a little flash program with different beats and they are endless looped. best thing for practicing without putting the needle back everytime when the beat is over.

  • sure will thanks

  • that shit was tight!

  • that's not him

  • ur good man. both hands cn scratch

  • Lovin the custom table. and the skratches were tight as a virgins pussy

  • sampler: boss sp 303

  • nice nice

  • the vinyl for scratching is ?

    nice video

  • Where can i get the beat that starts at 0:59?

    Wicked skills. respect

  • omg. finally something I might be able to do. Ive tried, guitar, drums, and rapping. I think this is the one. Is the equiptment expensive?

  • Ya joking? Ive been skratching for a bit. Its tough but a lot of fun and you gotta practice everyday. The turntables he uses are about 400-500 a piece, and that mixer is about 450. No idea what type of sampler he uses but Id like to get one!

  • I know dude. I've tried it. its pretty sick.

  • dude

are a pretty damn good dj :)

  • First of all, nice set bro!!!

    Is that the Hak 360???

and does that mixer have the cue/master option???...You know so i can scratch in my headphones only.

I was thinking of buying that mixer...Thanks.

    Peace.

  • hak310

  • the execution could use some work

  • hey man,

i have my dj setup with two turntable hooked up to a serato scratch live box.

i want to have my boss 303 hooked up so i can mix and then press the samples on my sp, but dont know how to hook it up so that i can have have live drops over the mixes.

    how did you do yours????

  • sup dude,

i plugged my sp into the session input on my mixer which is usually for another dj setup. its just another line-in channel but u dont have a fader or eq for it. if ur mixer dont have that session-in u might be able to put the sampler into ur notebook when u use serato and from there to the serato box, but im not sure if it works. and when u are on stage i would just use one channel from the main mixer and everything will work like u want to have it.

  • hey man... whats the name of the song and the artist? specially the main one.

    thanks

  • are you the real abilities?

  • dude.... FIRE!
