America can both have a chequered past and be a force for good as well! the kind of views that lead to Nazism were relatively common in the thirties especially! the fact there hasn't been another world war can probably be mostly attributed to America power in the world! no nation can get as powerful as the US without some misdeeds along the way but the world is a safer place with the US as the major power than any of the alternatives.

Last year two US troops were killed in the Philippines by an IED. I found that odd. I'm an Irishman and I heard on Irish radio last week that Irish troops were training Libyan rebels... why ? Who the fuck is Ireland to be involved in that conflict. I think our leaders know something awful is on the way and it has come about by secret conflicts and bad management.
I remember hearing that so far over a million and half soldiers have passed through Iraq. Why ? I'm worrying.

Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, North Marina, American Samoa are considered U.S. Territories, NOT COLONIES, and can either petition to become U.S. States or Independent Nations. it's up to them. The people of Peurto Rico in 2012 can and will chose to either remain a Territory,become a State or Independent of the U.S.
Colonies don't have a choice when it comes to independence, U.S.Territories can leave anytime that they see fit.

2nd. The Libya campaign was lead by NATO forces, where France and the U.K. took the lead militarily, not the U.S., so there is no U.S. COLONY there either.
3rd. If the rest of the world hates us, so be it, we really don't give a Damn.
