The internet is a great way of sharing news and information for sure, but when you get people who abuse for purposes like identity theft, trolling, cyber-bullying and stalking, defamation, and posting disgusting material like illegal porn then it's no wonder that some govt officials want to have it shut down. Take YouTube for instance - the site is full of ill-mannered individuals with no courtesy or respect for other people. The internet needs to be regulated, not eliminated.

However during weekends and holidays with almost all home the internet has chugged along fine. Funny how the report targets shutting down youtube,facebook and myspace as primary targets.
