  • This is really beautiful music. Clementi indeed was a great musician (and piano manufacturer) unfortunately he doesn't get the attention he deserves. In 1977 I played the transcrip for piano of this 1st movement for my music class end exam. While not as fluent (and fast), I managed well and was congratulated for my performance. I recently found back the notes, reason to check the music on youtube...well played. Thanks for posting.

  • Heard this on pandora, ty for uploading!

  • Thank you for posting! Finally, some new music! (New to me.)

  • Clementi may have been a superior pianist to Mozart- no doubt had greater virtuosity, but what a dull composer- how utterly diatonic and drab. Mozart commanded a far greater palate harmonically and was utterly daring as an orchestrator.

  • @Cantormatis

    Respectfully, I must disagree...

  • @Cantormatis

I think they are both great musicians and I appreciate them both!

  • Who is the pianist here?

  • @ngpiano72

this is performed by the Sofia Soloists Chamber Ensemble with Ivan Drenikov on the piano and Vassil Kazandjiev at the baton. Apologies; I always try to credit the artists..

  • Thank you for this delightful upload. It's such a rare thing to hear Clementi's music being played properly! He is a very under-appreciated composer who possibly suffers from the fact that his music is probably best known through the performances of learners, bless them. :)

  • @MATWrehearsals I agree! thanks for the post billystewart4!
