  • William Fossett Robinson: Cockblocker!

  • Moved me to tears

  • it is so romantic..,i ♥ this movie so much!!! :)

  • she lit up like fireworks when she saw him. She really likes him.

  • nothings happening yet...lol what a virgin

  • Jane is really the ideal female for this role if you ask me. She has the perfect form of this time period =D

Although I prefer a full figured gal. She has that amazing image =)

  • Aw, she was looking at him...9:27

  • such a carefully written script.... how beautifully everything comes together

  • 9:27 that part is beautiful!

  • My god, tell me a movie scene more romantic and touching then 9:30 - 9:42. I can't think of any!

  • @dhindsjr Totally agree with you.... :-)

  • WHY is Christopher Plummer such a bother? He plays these roles that just get in the way!... "What do you think you were doing?!!" Hey! It's called AD LIB! oooh, aw shoot, she's looking at him in the picture! Sooo The Terminator.. she's thinking of him when the polaroid is taken! That's pretty cool, actually...

  • hehe Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a theme by Paganini wasn't written until 1934 ;P

  • to be looked at like that by the woman you love

  • begin at 6:10 Elise melted me.

  • 9:35 - stunning

  • If they did this today they would cast Justin Bieber and Myley Cyrus. And that's sad.

  • Christopher Reeves! Tut tut! beautiful, and romantic...and just glorious! gorgeous man. xxx R.I.P, you utter...utter LEGEND. xx

  • Chris Reeves delivered the best on-screen kisses, EVER!!!!

  • Anyone know what music this is playing at the beginning? I can not find it on the soundtrack.

  • @0RobPatz4Eva0 Isn't though. One of my favorite scenes in the movie. "Do not attempt to wipe your boots on me!" Nice.

  • Some idiot on IMDB thinks that this movie is similar to James Cameron's Titanic (1997). The only common thing is the time period of 1912. This movie is about a time traveler from the 70's who who falls in love with a 1912 actress. Titanic had no time travel at all, only the memories of a 100 yr old Titanic survivor; also, it's clear in this movie that there is no love triangle. Her manager does not want her sexually/romantically; he wants for Elise to devote her life to the theater only.

  • @AmericanEvita LOL! Some idiot indeed. Wow.

  • Wow, the scene from 3:05 to 3:39 made me weak in the knees! Reminds of the 1st time my fiance kissed me. :)

  • 6:12-7:55 wow! simply extraordinary :)

  • "... as an actress, not a doormat, ... do not attempt to wipe your boots on me!"

more powerful because of the general politeness of the society at that time

  • that kissing scene was one of the most beautiful i've seen.

  • You know a woman wants to be kissed when she goes and stands by the nearest door frame so she can be pressed up against it, they do it all the time :)

  • Is it wrong of me that I am this far into the movie and bored senseless?

  • @TheThreeWeavers I would check your pulse..

  • Ah yes, The watch...

The watch she gave him that he left with her.

The watch that came from when??? Where???

    Paradox.

  • Ahh! The guy taking her picture is the little guy who drives the moped in the Police Academy movies!

  • @katiemc66 i noticed that too but still a great scene.

  • @katiemc66

    Tim Kazurinsky (sp?)

  • @clearlyme2u YES!!!! OMG...I was trying to figure who the "photographer" was...and I kept thinking that I used to watch him doing comedy on something...and I just couldn't remember!!!

    Ha...thanks for jarring my memory...

  • @dougalina123

I think he was on Saturday Night Live in the mid-80's or so.

  • oh god my heart melted when the photograph was taken as he gazed at her from the other side of the lens. beautiful. beautiful. there are no words to describe.

  • that is the sexiest kiss i have ever seen apart from the one in sense and sensibility.

  • I know! I rewind it to see it over and over. *blush*

  • Amazing Scene, the Best Movie Ever Made.

  • No, it's from 1980

  • Jane Seymour is so gorgeous in 9:40 I wish I was there was a woman oday that beautiful

  • Methinks such happiness cannot last, alas....It'll all end in tears.

  • LINE OF ELISE MCKENNA P2: You, who brought it to me for the first time. Is there any way that I can tell you how my life has changed? Any way at all to let you know what sweetness you have given me? There is so much to say. I cannot find the words. Except for these: I love you". Such would I say to him if he were really here.

  • This is my favorite love story of all time! And from 6:13 on.. in this scene is just breath taking. Especially her adlib

  • line of elise mckenna P1:The man of my dreams has almost faded now. The one I have created in my mind. The sort of man each woman dreams of, in the deepest and most secret reaches of her heart. I can almost see him now before me. What would I say to him if he were really here?"Forgive me. I have never known this feeling. I have lived without it all my life. Is it any wonder, then, I failed to recognise you?

  • i love that part where gets her pic taken and richard comes in at the right moment.

later to realize the same photo in the museum

  • I still cry watching this love story.

  • I saw it in the early 80's first time, forgot how great it was :)

  • yay
